I'm so stoked....

I bought a YM from WBK on rwi and the date font was bold......i HATED that, only wore the watch once on a day where the font was decent....

today I thought what the hell, lets try changing the date wheel with one from an old noobmariner.....

I DID IT WITHOUT BREAKING THE WATCH!!!!

Sorry to those who think its not a big deal....I'm just happy with this watch now.

lol

here is a pic...

i was scared pulling the hands that i wouldnt be able to put them back on.....

then i was scared id totally screw up and glue the datewheel to the movement or something lol.

Yep, putting hands back was my nightmare too :D

I broke dial clasps but nothing so serious thankfully.....

Unfortunately there's no method risk free.

There is something reall rewarding when you manage to repair and/or alter a watch for the first time. Now the question, how long did it take you and how many times did you say f&&&&&KKKK?

The sense of satisfaction you feel when you do something like this is great!

I remember my first time and i was really happy, it felt great and also gave me the confidence to do other mods etc by myself

Enjoy it! Now your on an upward spiral!!! Lots more things to try!

Good going Cableguy! :D It's a great feeling to accomplish something like that. Getting the date to line up properly in the dial window can be a trying experience. Be aware that this accomplishment can lead to other such daring acts ^_^

@ TWP - it prob took me about 1.5 hours...i had to take off and realign the date wheel like 4 times.. the 1st time the 1st few dates were ok, but the rest were way off lol.

@ everyone else - thanks for the support!!

hey man just a question.. my rolex yachtmaster is broken (bezel fell off and also the hourmarkers fell off too).. i would like to take the movement apart and put it into my noobmariner.. i managed to find out how to remove the crown and the stem.. but i'm still having trouble on how to unscrew the movement holder.. the smallest screwdriver i got was 1.0m/m and it wasn't small enough to open it.. does anyone know how i can uncscrew the movement holder? thanks :)

That screw should need a larger than 1mm driver Maybe 1.4,but if your tool is not sharpe enough then it will not fit in the slot and then you cant undo it.

BTW are you aware that you noob dial wont fit the ETA works!
