After years of squinting at Graham,.. my original view has not changed.

Graham tries too hard and goes way Over the Top,.. from the designs to their names,..

"Chrono Fighter" .. indeed.. :brow:..

Would be like Seiko coming out with a "Samurai Master"

with a sword handle sticking out of the side as a crown guard and blades for hands..

Lastly,...Dealer's opinions in threads such as these are to be taken in context.. :whistling:

These watches remind me of an old western movie quote....." There are only two things more beautiful than a gun....a swiss watch and a woman, from anywhere."

hehe.....all in one.

I agree with a lot of these comments, you really do have to see it in real life to appreciate it. It amazes me how many people are obsessed with buying U-Boat watches, a Panerai Egiziano, Omega Railmaster XXL, Bell & Ross etc - these watches are so much different in person than they appear on screen, and really do need to be seen to be believed!

It's a bit like nit-picking over details on reps - when you're looking at a 5x life size image on screen, fair enough the 'L Swiss L' is obvious, but when it's on your wrist, nobody will notice it's not a T-dial, or the font is 1/4mm too low! The internet is a great thing, but there are far too many people who stare blankly at a screen, casting opinions rather than seeing these watches in real life. Go on, get down to your nearest AD and I promise you won't be dissapointed!

I have seen enough gold rolexs here with diamonds and the like to not be surprised by anyone's taste.

Oh, that's just awful. If you're going to wear a watch that's that fugly, at least be able to offer a reason why it is that way. Case and point- this Romain Jerome is available for $7800- $173,000 USD since it uses steel from the sunken 'Titanic'. I wouldn't wear it either, but I guess it would make a great conversation piece!

Wow, Arty nice find!

Commercialism at its worst, utter worst, the graves of thousands turned into a bibelot...and yet, I want one -- for the same reason this gives me goosepimples just hearing it.

There are some watches that are worn by men for the sake of fashion. I grant you, Panerai can be considered one.

I think everyone here wears a watch for the "sake of fashion" to some degree. Why else would we be so concerned about how a watch looks or how closely it resembles a gen?

True, the history of Panerai may be a bit overblown but remember we are talking about replicas so it wouldn't matter to me at least unless I owned a gen.

I myself am a fan of Panerai designs. I think the designs are generally beautiful but simple. I also like Bell & Ross watches. They have a sort of simple pretty ugly design.

Just my opinion.

BTW this is a great place to learn and read about replica's and genuine watches too.

The Graham Chronofighter is what started my facination with watches. These watches have history and a very original look. I don't wear mine every day but when I do, I get mixed reactions. Graham and BR are two of my favorite watch manufactures because of the originality of the designs. You can spot one across the room.

While I love the idea of the two cyclops on top of the running sec/timer minutes, I think the impact it has on the readability of the time is enough to classify this design as a fashion item.. And as a fashion item, I might buy one if the full black version becomes available. :) I just hope nobody will ask me what the time is around 14:20 :p

The swordfish and the chrono fighter are some of the coolest new rep releases i've seen in a while! Hopefully by the end of summer i will have both models in my collection. Its a very accurate rep from what ive heard and seen

Surprised to hear the distaste for the Swordfish -- I am simply in love with the watch -- especially this one:

graham_blackknight_yellow.jpg

It has its charm...its will get you a lot of attention and that is worth a lot....it is very masculine but not sure if its a true pussymagnet...but certainly GRAHAM is not my cup of tea

Now DRESDEN was a disaster

This watch was developed as a tribute to the bomber pilots and navigators of the British Royal Air Force. The large lever allows the chronograph to be started and stopped without the crewman removing his gloves. The watch function controls were moved to the left side of the case to allow the wearer to use his thumb to control the watch. The thumb is much quicker to act than the other fingers thus providing greater accuracy.

Movement: mechanical with automatic winding; Graham Caliber G-1722; power reserve approx. 42 hours.

Functions: hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds; chronograph.

Case: steel, satin-finished; 42.5 x 12 mm (excl. lugs & crown); steel crown, lever and push-button; back secured by 8 screws.

Dial: black, with silver sub-dials; applied Arabic numerals, baton and square markers with luminous coating; sword hands with luminous coating.

Indications: subsidiary seconds at 3; minute counter at 9; sweep chronograph second hand.
