Jetsons Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 Nope! It's probably an anti-counterfeit measure but it looks out of place on a tool watch. IMO, better off with the new 14060M which received the COSC certification and the new dial at least, bears a resemblance to the 5512.

I must not have fully acclimated to it yet, because I find it hard to ignore. It is like the advertisements that broadcasters put in the corners of our tv screens during all programming (except for the commercials, which remain 100% clutter free). They do not seem to bother some people, but they drive me nuts.
FxrAndy Posted November 26, 2007 Report Posted November 26, 2007 I like it, i have had 2 daydates with it and a GMT2 pass via me to other people and i liked it on all of the watches, ok as said above it looks out of place on tool watch but so does the lack of AR these days.

EDIT: Now that I’ve had time to mull it over, I don't think it’s a move against counterfeiting. For one the etched crown on the crystal is an example of Rolex thinking about subtle design and secondly, the rep manufacturers are already tooled up to do this type of work. They must want to bring the Subs and the GMT’s a little closer together, or could it be it may cost Rolex less in the manufacturing process some how.
