budfox Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 is it the same like josh and trusty??? look: http://www.kingshowbox.com/goods.php?id=1064
bruce79 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 I'm no expert by any means but judging by the angle of the rehaut, it looks to be the same watch but again, I'm not an expert.
UB7 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Yes, it looks like the same watch, not sure about the HS is this not the right hand stack?
ta8088 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 I was looking at those last night as well. It looks like it might be the same just incorrect handstack. Everything else looks the same. So I'm guessing that the incorrect handstack version isn't going to be much cheaper? Hmm.
dluddy Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Angus has it now too. Comes with Wrong Hand Stack Asian 2836, Swiss 2836 or Correct Handstack 2836
z3k0 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Sometimes prices on that Kings site are not exactly what she is charging for watches, sometimes I received quotes from her by e-mail that were higher than on that site. And with all the frenzy about new GMTII prices will probably go up not down regards
ta8088 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Angus has it now too. Comes with Wrong Hand Stack Asian 2836, Swiss 2836 or Correct Handstack 2836 I was just going to post the exact same thing. Looks like 198 for the asian clone, 298 for swiss 2836, and 398 for CHS 2836. I'm ordering a CHS one today.
freddy333 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Angus has it now too. Comes with Wrong Hand Stack Asian 2836, Swiss 2836 or Correct Handstack 2836 It was only a matter of time. Good sighting, but I only see the $198 version (incorrect hand stack) displayed on puretimewatch.
ta8088 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 It was only a matter of time. Good sighting, but I only see the $198 version (incorrect hand stack) displayed on puretimewatch. The drop down menu in the description lists the other options. Don't know if he has the others in stock though. Thought I saw someone post that they had e-mailed Angus and he said he doesn't have the CHS in stock.
Dizzy Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 at $198 im very tempted to get one just to check it out dizz
freddy333 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 The drop down menu in the description lists the other options. Don't know if he has the others in stock though. Thought I saw someone post that they had e-mailed Angus and he said he doesn't have the CHS in stock. I completely missed that. Thanks. And, yes, the big question is if/when he has them available -- now or in the near future. Worst case, since the case is the same, you could purchase the $198 version & swap out the guts if/when you locate the chs movement in the future.
bruce79 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Indeed if all that is different is the movement, $198 is a reasonable test drive price...especially if the CHS are sold out...
willvt1 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 at $198 im very tempted to get one just to check it out dizz The picture at Puretime's site looks like the bezel is not ceramic version?
Guest uomo1001 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 Angus 1:1 replicated from genuine, the ultimate GMT-Master possible???????
b16a2 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 I would assume it is like the SOSF, the only difference being the asian movement. I certainly would rather spend 200USD on an asian movement with the incorrect handstack, than 400USD for the correct 'Swiss' one!
lanikai Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 don't think this version has the same capabilities of the jumping hour hand.. but regardless .. it looks to good to pass up.. may get one of these to actually wear...
mikellem Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 According to King..... (Lani is correct).... Her GTM Hand is Adjustable on Asian and Swiss ETA... -MM
asiparks Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 (edited) http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=429 of course, the CHS costs $200 extra.... Edited June 4, 2008 by asiparks

its_urabus Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 that pricing looks right, exactly what I thought would happen. I wish I like the watch... if I did I could get past the flaws... thanks for the heads up and the link...
dadog13 Posted June 4, 2008 Report Posted June 4, 2008 a dealer that no longer is welcome in here sells the GMT II for 90$ shipped (the cheap version - do not know the flaws because I am no Rolex expert - with asian 21j mvt - but it looks good for the money paid)...it was just advertised an hour ago on the other forum...
