subzero1 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 My ceramic GMT is in the shop, so in the meantime I'm wearing this brand new bad boy:
By-Tor Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 @dadog: That's an unusual watch! @chubb: Ditto. Nice Oris! Great to see something different from the usual Rolex-PAM-Omega lineup. I'm boring as usual... wearing the old & faithful: My 3+ year old SMP "Bond" classic!
freddy333 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 My ceramic GMT is in the shop Is this the new GMTIIC? If so, why is it in the shop? Beater (at left) for me today (Monday)
subzero1 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Is this the new GMTIIC? If so, why is it in the shop? Beater (at left) for me today (Monday) Yep, the new GMT II-C - the GMT hand was too close to the dial and got hung on one of the markers, which then caused it to bend out of shape when I was setting it. Josh, as always, is taking good care of me, should be fixed pretty soon.
dluddy Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Still my 3+ year old Franken SMP - Like By-Tor, this watch never fails me
freddy333 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 Yep, the new GMT II-C - the GMT hand was too close to the dial and got hung on one of the markers, which then caused it to bend out of shape when I was setting it. Josh, as always, is taking good care of me, should be fixed pretty soon. Sorry to hear that. It is especially rough with such a rare & otherwise well made rep like the chs GMTIIC. Please keep us posted on your experience with the repair.

dadog13 Posted June 10, 2008 Report Posted June 10, 2008 @dadog: That's an unusual watch! It's a great rep! whoever decides to get it, won't be disappointed...and it is still on my wrist...for the 4th consecutive day!
