SWATCHman Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Yes I know, read and you'll learn. I read and learned and finally received a watch from EL that did not look a bit as the version shown on his page. Not a bad watch, but it did not have the bulbous plexi and the correct dial and hands. Now I'm willing to give it another try. I'm lookin for this: Any idea who carries it and not just the picture on the website? Thanks for your help.
TomBombadil Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Here's a bad picture of one I got from EL a few months ago. It's an awesome watch. NOTE: It came on the ss bracelet which I swapped for the NATO. The bracelet is great.
oswald Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 I'd love to see a Speedmaster reduced with a 7750.

Hok Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 i love the watch but the subdial spacement is just too obvious. and there are speedy freaks everywhere
ryaku Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Can you post some pics of the one you you did get? I am looking for one also. Same here. Can you post some pictures? I'd love to see a Speedmaster reduced with a 7750. Me too....unfortunately it's not available.
retep Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 Same here. Can you post some pictures? Me too....unfortunately it's not available. There are a lot of used reduced speedies (gen) out there. Which can be bought for the amount of two high end replica`s.

That's true and i'm looking around for genuine autom speedy but here in EU it's not so easy to find bargains. Also, buying a used watch on internet is rather risky. Especially in Italy.

cabbage Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 i have one on ordder from king...white face/blue markers..HOWEVER...she described it as a "double saphire" crystal and lamonia handwind movement....i dont know WTF a double saphire is...but suspect my watch will not be as bublicous as i had wanted....but it appears the one in question is not around anymore.
ehtolcad Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 double sapphire means that it has a display back, which is also made of sapphire

eunomians Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 If u want a Speedy, it means u gotta buck up and buy the real deal. They are not that much more expensive than reps.

I wish this was true. Preowned "reduced" Speedmasters can be obtained for $500 - $600 or so (if you're lucky) but the full sized Speedmasters are WAY more expensive than that. Almost impossible to find a Moon Watch in good condition for less than $1200. Edited March 20, 2006 by By-Tor
eunomians Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 $1200 is about right. Not too bad if u can give up buying reps for a couple of months Cheers

TomBombadil Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 EL claims he cannot get this version any more... Did you check with King? I believe they had/have the same supplier for this watch.

ryaku Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 (edited) Here you go. I created a side by side shot: Thanks. It looks like another watch (pretty good but it's not a speedmaster professional). What did Eddie say to you? Edited March 20, 2006 by ryaku
TomBombadil Posted March 20, 2006 Report Posted March 20, 2006 Wow, you were sent a replica of a totally different watch. That may explain why all of the differences. Here is the gen:
