RobbieG Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Haven't seen a picture thread of cool movement shots in a while. Post em' up. I'll start with a couple here... FA Jones Rep with heavily skeletonized and decorated Asian 6498 clone Unitas 6498 with flame blued screws in my new 1900's homage piece
ubiquitous Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Damn.... I'm going to have to crack one of my cases open... Maybe this weekend

Pugwash Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Let's start with an Asian 7750: And a brace of ETAs
mjmurphy926 Posted August 22, 2008 Report Posted August 22, 2008 Let's start with an Asian 7750: That's a neat picture Pug!! I gotta try that.
Stephane Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Ok, I'll play but cannot compete with your wonderfull photos guys
Pugwash Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Ok, I'll play but cannot compete with your wonderfull photos guys What a beauty! Your photos can be fixed really easily: Put everything (including the camera) in a light pillow case. No more over-shiny highlights.
Stephane Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 What a beauty! Your photos can be fixed really easily: Put everything (including the camera) in a light pillow case. No more over-shiny highlights. Thanks Pug. I really need to set up a "studio" one of these days. It's raining 90% of the time here As for the Rolex mvts, I am not going to open the watches anymore as they will all be serviced
docblackrock Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Thanks Pug. I really need to set up a "studio" one of these days. Climate has obviously improved since I was working over there I know you're a Rolex fetishist (I am merely an obsessive) so you may want to look away now before you read what I'm about to say.... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . To me the Rolex calibres are NOT aesthetically beautiful. Not in the slightest. No, not even the dark red gear against the silver finish. Their beauty lies within their engineering - they're workhorses not show ponies. If the c.3135 were a girl, you'd say "she has a nice personality"
docblackrock Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 It says something when I spend bandwidth on this thread rather than porn. What do you mean instead of porn? This IS porn!
Stephane Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Only 90% Stephane? I can't remember such a bad summer. Ridiculous. As for the aesthetic of Rolex Mvt I agree 100% with you. I was very disapointed to see one the first time. But, you've sum it. They are workhorses...
