jfreeman420 Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Like the smart car's gas mileage but hate the mundane styling? Now they have body kits to make your smart car a high end replica. I am 6 foot tall and 240 pounds. I think it would be quite a funny site to see me getting out of that smart porshe......
tonton2000 Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Oh my god that is the best thing i've ever seen for the smart car!! Where did you find this!? EDIT: Damn you photoshop!!
jfreeman420 Posted September 21, 2008 Author Report Posted September 21, 2008 I think they really sell them. I got this in an email from a friend.
Pugwash Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 I think they really sell them. I got this in an email from a friend. Ha! I'd bet good money they're Photoshop jobs.
chubbchubb Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 I fear you guys are right about the photoshop thing. I would be totally cool though if this was a real product. I love the Q7 dwarf...
chubbchubb Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 I am now 100 positive that this is a hoax. AFAIK the guy driving the dwarf Porsche GT is Ralley legend Walter R
Pugwash Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 I think they really sell them. I got this in an email from a friend. Sorry, they don't really sell them. It appears these 'shops are doing the rounds on the car forums. A quick google will verify there are in fact lots of Smart body kits out there as that was one of the original aspects of the design Swatch brought to the table - easily replaceable panels for changing the look quickly and cheaply. However, none of them are as radical or as unlikely as the photoshop jobs in this thread.
Pugwash Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 I am now 100 positive that this is a hoax. Yup, I agree. Good shoppage, but not perfect. Anyone got a decent clean photo of their car with a neutral background and I'll show you how to do it.
TeeJay Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Real Smart mod: All it needs is some Foose wheels, and it'd be perfect
JohnG Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 There is a Navigator version. It is pretty cool - I saw one at a show recently and the price for the kit wasn't that bad...
Chino Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 LOL, thanks Jody tha diablo and the F340 were my choices.
blade007 Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 damn good photoshop job, that requires some skill.. funny none the less. do the have a hummer mod?
Dani Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 LOL, thanks Jody tha diablo and the F340 were my choices. seems like a 360 spider whit challenge styling to me cheers
HauteHippie Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 It would be tough to drive around in that silly putty egg with seat belts, wouldn't it.... Too bad those body kits are photoshop jobs.
PAMman Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 The micro Q7 looks like a really believable concept for a Smart. That would sell for sure.
chronoluvvv Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 it won't be long before we see these on the road no one ever lost money underestimating the taste of the American people ... or the lack of it
tomhorn Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 OK, somone has to say it ... there isn't a body kit that could possibly make a Smart Car "cool". Green ... sure. Practical in a high density urban enviroment ... I'll give you that. Cool ... sorry ... no chance.
ubiquitous Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 I'd drive that smooshed 997 in a heartbeat!
Chino Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 LOL, thanks Jody tha diablo and the F340 were my choices. seems like a 360 spider whit challenge styling to me cheers you're absolutely right, I stand corrected, F340 is not a Ferrari model, it's either F360 or F430 and the challenge grill confirms I was wrong. I'd love to see those in a track.
JohnG Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 OK, somone has to say it ... there isn't a body kit that could possibly make a Smart Car "cool". Green ... sure. Practical in a high density urban enviroment ... I'll give you that. Cool ... sorry ... no chance. Depends on where you are and who you are. Among cow pokes in Amarillo, Texas - not cool. Among young professionals in a lot of European capitals - the very essence of urban chic.
jfreeman420 Posted September 22, 2008 Author Report Posted September 22, 2008 Oh well, the experts have spoken. I guess there is a reason I couldn't find these for sale anywhere.
phaedo Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 Oh well, the experts have spoken. I guess there is a reason I couldn't find these for sale anywhere. I didn't think you would be the type to be looking - always saw you in a old convertible caddy in hot pink with all the bling on, waiting for the ladies to bring you your profits...
