I've had this happen to me- Paypal won't release the funds until pos. feedback OR 21 days after item is delivered (you give them the tracking number using the shipping widget).

Only had it when I sold something for like $3,200 and it must have pegged a high dollar sale...

It's now very difficult to do high priced transactions with paypal. They will freeze your account for no reason....very scary, especially if you already sent out the item and now cannot access the funds until the receiver leaves positive payback, or at times even longer than 21 days. I guess paypal has been burned in the past, so their solution is to burn everyone else now. Not a big fan of Paypal.....too many horror stories!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi all,

so after some time passed i have news on the matter all do i must say very bad ones.

The bag arrived today so i picked it up on reception. It was raped in a black garbage bag! with my address taped and written in a handwriting of a 10 year old child! not good start at all...

So i take it downstairs un-wrap the package and what do i find yep a FAKE LV Keepal 60 bag... to make things even worse the bag is completely banged up, something spilled on it from the outside, one of the zippers not working, one of the handles half ripped and smells like something dragged up from garbage can.

Furthermore its missing all kinda things like key lock or name tag all in all a horrible plastic fake that furthermore for the things mentioned above also can not even be used.

Do i have any options here?

Laz

I would see if you can contact the seller and arrange e return and refund.

If they refuse, go straight to Ebay. opefully you'll have records of the conversations between you and the seller which you can provide as proof.

Fingers crossed for you Laz!

seller replied bag is real and from Paris boutique also saying bag was in like new condition all do its completely damaged and dirty!

wants me to send it back and she would return me the cash. Why do i get the feeling that's not gonna happen.

Just for fun this is the real strap holder on a LV Keppal Bag

This is going to be tricky since he already left positive feedback.

Even if the positive feedback or 21 day term pend release of funds was Paypal mandated, the seller leveraged that requirement and abused the situation even more. So much for protecting the buyer...

Yep not good folks learn from my mistake here...

I tried to reason with the seller and and one of the mails this afternoon been promised a refund and to send the bag out first thing tomorrow...

Things have changed in the last email received... again claiming the bag is real :D

I have posted the bag pictures to be authenticated in the PURSE FORUM... same conclusion not a real bag... i sent the link to the seller she claims she cant open that hahaha...

See here : http://forum.purseblog.com/louis-vuitton-s...467298-166.html

I sent her last reasoning mail 20 minutes back to return me the money and ill return her the bag...

If not i guess i can either go to eBAY or forget about it... all do i think if i will not react all do might be late she will continue to scam people...

PS anyone did an eBay complain before?

That might be a tough one...

I'd start a paypal dispute...saying it was fake/not as described and you are going to return it to the seller...

Paypal will want a tracking number to see you've returned the item...I wouldn't usually suggest this but you might want to send her an empty package via registered mail to 'prove' you sent the bag back..and that gets you a tracking number (and return the bag after you've received the refund)

I would hurry...she may have already withdrawn the funds!

Read through the paypal t&c first though..

Laz,

Having a bit of knowledge of ebay & PP, and the refund process, I say to you, do not depend on either of these to achieve anything for you.

I think your only chance for resolution, is firstly to have an address of the seller, and then to get someone who is close, to take the bag back to the seller, face to face, and swap bag for $$.

Any other attempt to sort this will only now get worse, not better!

Hope you can get some sort of a resolution on this one, but fear not. A genuine address of the seller, is your strong point right now.

you don't get the address automatic from ebay - you have to search in ebay - they sent it 2 you via email.
