I have two masters degrees and have graduated at the top of my cohort each time. I can assure you my brain cells are intact and functioning at a much higher level than most. Having said that, the things that are responsible for the most deaths in the united states are infact LEGAL and stupidly ACCESSIBLE: tobacco, ethanol, and heavily processed foods. I have been smoking since I was a teen with no problems at all. I find it disgusting how the united states handles drug policy and research when it comes to cannabis. It is irresponsible in my opinion. But to each their own. To answer the original question, yes it should be legal. Take care, everyone! Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk 22 points

I'm in the health care profession, and frankly, I believe that it would be better to legalize it tax it and use the revenue to provide better health care to those who need it. Folks from nmy perspective, the obesity problem in the USA is causing far,far worse problems than weed smoking will ever cause. We are beginning to see the effects of morbid obesity which has been growing at epidemic rates for the past 25-30 years. For the first time in decades, the life expectancy numbers are taking a downturn. It's pretty simple if you weigh 450 pounds and you are 5'3", you aren't going to live as long as you would if you were 125-150 pounds. The numbers of young to middle age people with diabetes, hypertension and all types of bone/joint problems is growing at exponential rates. Our big problem in this country, we tend to spend and inordinate amount of time and effort discussing, studying and legislating "hot button" topics like "legalizing" Marijauna, , rather than geting past them and spending more time and effort taking care of real problems like obesity, teen pregnancy, etc. AFA the "Drug problem"? A heck of a lot more problems are caused every day from the indescriminate dispensing of powerful narcotics and sedatives, than all the Pot smoked in the USA. Until the USA develops a countrywide computer system that will give pharmacists , State boards of Pharmacy and the DEA instant access to every prescription for schedule drugs, we will continue to have a terrible problem of people driving all over creation to find Physicians who will write them a pain script. Our local and State police recently broke up a family group that was traveling all over Arkansas,Mississippi, Alabama. Tennessee and Louisiana, visiting doctors who wrote them scripts. They had about 6-8 family members, and they had so many stops, they hit each Dr about once a month to get their script refilled. They were making thousands a week selling , Oxycontin, Percocets, etc on the street. So folks from my perspective, we have a lot of really pressing health issuesa in this country, and "Mary Jane" ain't one of them!2 points

I wish, but no. I was introduced to cannabis at the age of 19. Finding myself? I feel confident in who I am and where I have come from and where I am going, not because of cannabis, but my faith and education. Sent from my HTC Glacier using Tapatalk 21 point

All antidotal information, but in my 35 years of Anesthesia, ihave never seem a pot head tear up and ER, shoot someone, cut someone, break into and occupied dwelling,etc.. OF all the vices, i would way rather take care of someone who is blissing out on weed, rather than a crackhead who's high as a kite, or a drunk who's combative, belligerent, and then pukes all over everyone!! Zeleni my friend, i don't know where you're getting your research from, but I'm afraid it's flawed. Better not to smoke anything, drink anything or inject or swollow anything (Weed, tobacco, alcohol, pills. coke, etc.) but if you are picking the lesser of the evils, it has to be Marijauna. Long term use, would probably have the same effects on the body as tobacco, it produces tars and other toxic byproducts which are not good for your lungs. Having said that I would bet that over a 20 year period, the guy/gal who smokes one joint a day is going to have much healthier lungs than one who smokes a pack of cigarettes a day.1 point

how can something that grows wild and free, as if by the hand of god himself, be made illegal? lol, its a joke. the war on drugs is over, it has failed. You can easily get weed (and nearly any other drug) easily and cheap, almost anywhere (that id travel to anyways). All those that are against legalization, mark my words, it will be legalized everywhere that matters soon enough. Its just a matter of time. why waste this time debating , just smoke up and smile mushrooms too. nom nom nom Not that i condone coke or sweet lady H, but theyre here to stay, unfortunatly. So may as well regulate and heavily tax to at least try to put a dent into organized crime...1 point

I'm a Libertarian on this one. I think all drugs should be legal and taxed/regulated like booze. People (especially addicts) are going to use if they want to. The war on drugs doesn't work!! Cocaine and herion are available, cheaper and more potent than ever. What has been the cost? - ie. money, police manpower, drug violence, ruined lives in prison, etc, etc. Drug addiction and Alcoholism are considered Medical Illness & should NOT be treated as a crime in themselves. Of course if you kill someone while high, that's a different story. Also, drug dealing for immense profit and killing the competition is obviously a crime.1 point

Remember COCA cola hahaha... In the beginning it wass FULL of cocaine.1 point

You can't compare the two. They are as different as chalk and cheese as the Brits say. One, has from all the research done over many years almost zero physical addiction, the other in some forms is physically addictiing from the very first "hit". why do you think the dealers give kids the first couple of crack "rocks" for free? they know if they smoke it one time, they WILL be back!!1 point
-
You can`t compare MJ to cocaine. They are two totally different substances. Thats pretty much like saying, "gay marriage? whats next? animals?"1 point
-
Personally speaking, I think it should be legalized everywhere. As mentioned above, alcohol is just as bad, if not worse. All the 'war on drugs' rhetoric is pretty much implausible these days, and I think people should be free to make their own choices... Legalize all drugs, tax them, and pump the funds into the health services... Ironically, I don't smoke, do drugs, and rarely drink, but I do think mari ja warna should be legalized1 point

I've got to agree with Valty, this looks like something from 1988, apart from the cars of course. Money can't buy taste or culture.1 point

And they tell us at the TV all the day it's the crisis... There is no more money... Some people not far away from my location (less than 50km around) don't even have money to heat their home. What a joke...1 point

Personally I would legalise all drugs and prostitution.... and manage it like any legal medication and in relation to Prostitution like say Tattoo studios/sex shops etc ...And dont tell me that dont work....because whats been going on for the last 50 years aint working either and at least we can take more control than we are managing now and the revenues that legalising it would bring.. War on Terror? My a-rse..... ;) Oh yeah and ban all personal firearms !!!1 point

I am pro marijuana And I have no sympathy for the staunce NO people. Do some research before you spew your "this is DRUGS" on the same line as class A substances.. I do not use myself, I don`t even drink. But I can`t see the harm... Sorry.. Alcohol is FAAAAAAAAAAR worse!1 point

Have a look at hirsch straps on watchbandcentre, the duke is pretty good, also Rios straps have a very good cut. There's also a seller on ebay called timepiecerepublic who does deployant straps, not perfect but much better than the low grade rep straps. If you want a much better strap then guys like peter.watchacc (search google he's on tz forums) do really good quality omega deployant straps, they aren't cheap though.1 point

If in EU mate then I would try Sead..he sometimes has odds and sods siting around in UK but its a far shot.... but you never know.. If not Domi sometimes has some bits about...but I aint sure he would sell them unless you have done stuff with him.... Other than that I would contact FlyingDutchman or Mikey in Hollandaise sauce land.... D has some bits about he might sell... Other than that I would WTB thread on RG... I am happy to write up something for you about the screwdriver if you want....but I might have an old prototype driver laying around if you want it.... it aint perfect but it does the job with care..1 point
-
Nope..... Its standard on this rep VEEEEERY carefully with a jewelers file *LOL*1 point
-
Now there are a few places you can get those parts.... The easiest (as in its advertised on the site under Hublot Accessories is Puretime....) but he is not as cheap as say Mary/Rochest at WatchInternational or some others like TB etc. The screwdriver is cheapest from someone like Mike at Watchbitz or again Mary etc But IMHO the screwdriver that Angus does is the best option although its $25 more than the other places....the reason I say that is the blade shape....The cheaper ones are basically a flat head with a V cut into it..which you could do yourself.... but Angus' Screwdriver has a flat blade and chamfered edge..thereby reducing the chances of scratches etc which can be got with the other driver because its basically sharp points at it edge.. though some others may do that style/type now but I aint sure mate... But if you have a staedy hand and patience not to thread the screws (which is easy to do unless they are sitting correctly) then the cheaper ones are good enough and home made is easy too BUT You will not get anything now till after CNY... so just wait out mate... or maybe a WTB here or on the forums... plus eBay but they are well overpriced by around $20 a pair...and no different to the dealers options... Oh and remember the screws are shorter over the chrono pushers ... compared to rest of bezel1 point

Cougar, thanks for the mega cut & paste, I just saw that thread on rg. Lol :-) Hmm yes, some peeps are put off by one or 3 issues on the 45. It is pretty stupid (or greedy) to deliberately produce the wrong caseback. Perhaps the anticipated LM rep will revert to a plain caseback, forcing us to buy both!1 point

All I can tell you is 1) Ebay is a minefield, it's the wild west with scammers and con artists everywhere. Couple that with folks who are buying stuff at garage sales and junk outlets then cleaning the junk up a little and listing it on Ebay with inaccurate and pumped up descriptions. Case in point, read the guys description of the Milgauss. He talks like the band has one little problem. unfortunately, it looks like there are other bad links, and the photos are so poor, you really can't tell much about anything. this is a common scammer trick, slightly out of focus photos, bad angles that don't let you see the flaws. If you aren't sure about what you're looking at, don't bid!!!! 2) There are lots of very, very knowledgable watch experts on this forum. If you find something that you really think is what you want, by all means provide a link or photos, some of the folks here will let you know pretty darn quick if it's being sold as something it's not. 3) Read, research and make yourself if not and expert, at least knowledgable about the watches you're interested in. you might miss some of the little subtle points, but you will be much less likely to get taken in by some con artist.1 point

Sage advice from a knowing member, do your research! Trusted dealers: read, visit their webpages, look at their feedback, then make a choice. i will give you some advice that you will probably come across in posts around the forum. When you purchase a watch, keep in mind, Your age, your salary, your position. If you are a junior member of a firm, just starting out, I would definitely stay away from watches that you obviously can't afford. From the sound of your post, you are going to be trying to pass your watch of as genuine.also keep in mind that some of those"high profile" clients may very well be knowledgable about watches. It's going to blow your credibility right out the water if one of your clients notices your watch, recognizes that it's a copy of a 100K watch. He may not be sure it's a a copy, but he's sure you can't afford a 100k watch!! Will he believe anything else you say if he knows you are wearing a Fake watch? How do you explain it if he asks probing questions about your watch? If you can pull it off, are of the age and in a position to afford expensive watches, they other guy will never doubt that your watch is real, even if it's not! It's better to wear a low key watch in the price range that you could afford if it were a genuine. A nice Rolex Datejust, Simple Panerai, dress watches from lots of sellers, you canpull those off. A Breguet Tourbillion, probably not.1 point

I wouldnt describe the crystal as having rounded edges, but it certainty does has a bevel or taper running from flush with the bezel inside edge to the front face of the glass. This is just visible in one of two of my pics.1 point
-
Can someone confirm if the crystal comes with rounded edges?? The reason I ask is on Puretime's site it shows the dead give-away flat crystal edge (maybe Angus did not update the final pics since the preorder) but on Toro's site the same Noob best version looks more rounded and polished like the real mccoy. We all have our own nit-picks and this is for sure mine. I haven't purchase a rep Rolex for many years and I won't wear the ones I have because of this reason but it appears to me the recent crystals are looking more convincing. This issue is rarely discussed, so if someone can verify these new generation Rollies have rounded polished crystal edges, then this will be a game changer for me. Thanks in advance!1 point

We will therefore do everything we can to maintain a friendly environment for all concerned. The bottom line? We see the people who visit this site as our friends and guests. We intend to host an open house party, not a rock fight -- and we hope that you will take this spirit to heart. If we miss any posts or threads that cross these lines, we apologize. If you do not share these values, we encourage you to find another board that is operating at your level of karma. These rules can be changed without notice.1 point
