  3. In the process of getting this manufactured / 3D printed. Hopefully should take the guesswork out of re-fitting new feet on dials that had originally the Rolex (or other) dial feet positions. Of course I will have to test the accuracy of the manufacturing and see if it works as well as I hope it does. 3 Spacer discs (1mm/1.5mm/2mm) so you can adjust the height that the dial sits for different feet, also marker at 12 for alignment. Just waiting to hear back on costs etc. (This is not a sales thread, or an advertisment, or a pre-order process)

  4. Started out awhile back with a spare Noob V3 case set. Got the dial and movement (having visited The Zigmeister for the Inca-bloc anti-shock mod) and case back from another member. J series hands from my parts box. I polished the bevels and teeth of the ratchet and crown wheels as well the edges of the bridge plates. Both wheel screws were flattened and polished too. With the cg, I shortened the lever tip a little, flattened both the lever and roller bearing pins. The lever pin was re-installed slightly recessed below flush. Last, the entire case was polished to a more gen-like finish. I'm not a big fan of sandwich dials, but this one is growing on me. I may actually keep it for a couple of more weeks Some pics from this afternoon... iPhone 4 and Camera+...

  5. As some of you might recall, not long ago, Toro made a great deal for the Ebel 1911 Discovery, it was the perfect time to finally put my hands on the Discovery panda, so I've contacted Toro. I was a bit late and he only had the panda with rubber left, and none panda + SS. He then said that he does have some black dial + SS. He sent me the pics, and then it struck me that the black is absolutely amazing with the rubber, while the panda is gorgeous with the SS. I asked Toro if I can get the panda + the SS bracelet from the black dial. He told me no problem, but I have to buy the black one as well, and he will switch the bracelets for me. Well, for that price it was a no-brainer. QC pics, very cheap and quite fast shipping, and the two watches arrived. I really bought it for the panda, but I fell in love with the black dial. I now regard it as my best looking watch, and it really gets a lot of wrist time as it deserves... Here's an iPhone pic (but good enough IMO):

  7. Hi guys, after a long time gathering parts and having work done my 1655 is finally here Here are the specs. Not a great lover of this model but see what you think. - Rep 1655 case. Not even sure where is came from. It was in my parts box and it looked to good to ignore so i started building. Has gen style Bezel assembly. - Clarks 116 tropic - Cartel caseback - ETA 2893-2 GMT movement with taller GMT, hour, minute and second pinnions installed. - Gen tube and 6 mm crown - Ingod dial relumed by Vac - Omega flightmaster handset with Rafflestime GMT hand relumed by Vac - Datewheel from early MBW - Rep folded bracelet with gen clasp. Needs better endlinks Was easy to put together except all the hands needed work to fit. Pics: Cheers for looking P.

  8. it will fit a 5513 case, but not a 16610. i always wondered if TC could just make a run of 16610 dials with no date window and a lume marker at 3 oclock. then off to jmb for some lug holes and thats as close as youre going to get (although it will be a slightly larger sub than an original no date)

  9. I'll admit, I returned to my car in the parking lot one night after dinner to find a small ding in the driver's side door of my car. There was also some blue paint left with the ding. Low and behold, the car parked directly next to me had the same blue paint and their passenger door was lined up perfectly to the ding. I was livid. It was a small ding, but I simply hate people who are so self consumed that they care nothing for the property of other people. Without much thought, I cocked back and kicked the side of their door so hard it left a dent about a foot in diameter. I took a deep breath, got in my car and drove away. The instant vengeance felt so wonderful, warm and fulfilling.

  10. Bought it at Trusty Time, I do not know if it is a trusted delaer on this board, but it is on others. USD 328 for a swiss eta. It is one of the new ceramic versions that came out lately.

  11. I came here looking for very low quality reps. This site has been a dissapointment to say the least.

  12. Come on guys. Be a little nicer to noobs. You might scare away those of us who really love watches. Like me. Those of you who are receptive and welcoming, keep it up! I've been looking at replica sites for ages, picking out every detail that made me wary of purchasing my first rep. Funny enough, I've seen every last one of those sites I used to look on listed here as scam sites. Coincidentally, there was a scam site I used to visit that had a similar scam list..lol..needless to say, that site is also listed here as a scam. Like Double agents in the rep game! Its confusing! I've never done as much exploring of a rep site as I have here. And in doing so, I've only come across one sketchy detail that made me sceptical. I wont say what it is, but I haven't seen a repeat of it so I'm still confident in this site and the people here. Despite that, I still have not bought my first rep. I cant get myself over the hump. I really love Montblanc TimeWalker Chronos, and Bretling Transoceans. Of course I love Submariners as well but i wouldn't make it my first rep. I've seen some nice ones around here, but I think Ill settle in a little more before I press the trigger.

  14. That's not the sort of thing you should be messing with, that watch contains a camera, poison gas cannister, two way radio, and a five megaton thermonuclear device. This is only issued to a select team of highly trained 00 agents. This is what you must do call M on the encrypted number on the back (read it backwards). Good luck with the interrogation. Johnkaz
