  7. If we were collaborating on a design for a new watch, I would probably opt for the inverted colors on the date wheel. However, if it a question of the "perfect sub" then traditional is the way to go. The sub is iconic and you can't mess with iconic. If you do...it's not.

  9. Very interesting look, the datewheel with inverted colors... Definitely caught me off guard with that! I still think I prefer the traditional, white background/black font with cyclops look for 16610's... The dial needs the white date aperture to balance the dial methinks. The black background date is neat, but I feel the dial needs a little symmetry which the white date wheel helps achieve.

  11. Two questions then IF any of those are member watches in that pic, even if they are en route back to the owners as stated. 1. Why would one post counterfeit replica watches for sale on a non-replica Internet forum, especially one as mainstream as Bacefook? Not a gen watch forum, but still questionable choice and shows probable intent to deceive. 2. Why would one post a group shot of other members' property in a for sale ad anywhere? If to just stimulate interest and queries but only one or two are actually his property in the pic that he planned to actually sell, that is a shady used car salesmanship type of tactic IMO. You know, the old "don't have that one you asked for, but boy do I have a deal for you on this one..." Again, questionable choice and shows probable intent to deceive. Neither of these two questions come to any answer that I can think of that is above board IMO.

  12. IMHO most beatiful classic dress watch and it is Citizen, solar power Eco Drive. I like it a lot, 3D dial, sapphire, moonphase, day, month etc.

  13. Thanks guys for the confirmation and clear guidelines! Guess I could have had some more room for improvisation too if the dial had been newer (Lollipop or service) - but getting a 60s dial in a 70s watch sounds far fetched. Looks like I need to ruin my finances and set up a separate 5513 project for the dial - or feel stupid when looking at it in a 5514 casing...

  17. congrats, nice work, You are right, the only way to put off all tool marks is to use sandpaper before using the dremel with polishing compounds Try Rafflestime, Ken shows sterile stuff, but send him a mail to ask the Rolex markings
