I know the reviews of Avenger Seawolf may be seen every corner in each watch forum, but I still can't help starting my own one. Recently, I actually did some research about this watch, cause don't know why out of blue an interested in Breitling watches as of lately. The Avenger Seawolf is particular got my attention with its solid robust military look. I am all the way not a fan of military watches, but come across some threads regarding this watch got my attention. So figure out whether I should try one on. There are different versions of this rep, however, the v2 is somehow one of the best rep available for temporary, I, occasionally, have one this watch in my hand (which I borrowed from a friend who also happens to be a watch fan, more exactly, my watch hobby started via him)– an Avenger Seawolf ss grey dial with rubber strap. I seriously compared this rep with pic of gen on internet, don't know either the reason of today's replica have gotten so much improvement or the factor of my eye (shame on me), I can barely spot some differences. Maybe a gen and rep model side by side will be more help, but from the pics, it really hard to tell, except the only difference about the crown I'm capable to find, the reps crown is less depth flute against the gens, which show less solid feel. This watch adopted Swiss ETA 2826 movement, keep time very accurate, daily error around 5s, quite impressive. This rep matched with a rubber strap, I know for some individuals like me not that much into military or heavy presence of a watch, the rubber strap may be a good balance to that, wouldn't cause much burden for wrist, and besides, also presenting a different look. As I saw some reviews about the rep, the old version Avenger Seawolf can noticeably find variations with gen by comparison, like the pearl, the bezel markers, however, those are all considered and improved in this version, maybe there are some minor distinctions, but who cares that much, it's a rep, as the minute we place the order for that, this is a must outcome in our expectations. The only problem is that for those are not acquaintance with heavy watches like me, may need some time to get used to it.1 point

Pan Am was the reason the GMT was produced. Pan Am asked Rolex to research/produce a watch to track 2 different times, so their pilots would not be able to use being confused by the time zone of their destination as the reason for their tardiness in arriving on time for take-off. Initially, the 6542 was intended for Pan Am only, but the tooling costs & early sales of the Turn-O-Graph hinted that a GMT might be a popular seller at the retail level, which it was.1 point

An original, genuine insert would be somewhat rare to find in one piece. As acrylic plastic does, and the older formulas even more, they dry out and get brittle and break. I saw one in something like 8 pieces on Ebay sell for over $800usd, as I recall. So, no. I would NOT refurbish a genuine insert. In fact, two that I know of were sold to people with genuine 6542s who put the genuine insert in a safe place and used mine so as to wear the watch. freddy is one, and in the linked threads in my sig are more.1 point

Glad to hear its sorted mate First one I have heard on here...but I have seen it reported on websites... seems they do the same with other couriers too... so you think you have a package of value and of course you know you aint but your curiousness or greed or both sort of lures you into falling for it as genuine.. My son keeps getting variations of a Police email saying he has been using illegal sites for downloads and games etc and he will be prosecuted and his computer shut down if he doesnt send a £100 fine to the link in the email.. The first time he got one his face was a picture !! Of course at his age he thought it was real and also that guilt all young teenagers have when questioned about what they have searched and looked for on the internet !! He was really paniking...I so enjoyed questioning him and winding him up a bit more.... I think it may of don some good for him as he aint as busy on it as he used to be..1 point

Thats good to hear mate...that you are striking out and willing to share Appreciate it With Spin mate...be a little more patient mate... especially at this time of year.... you can imagine how many emails he gets...and how many time wasters...then other issues that email can generate..going to spam folders... etc plus on top of that work load...personal life... etc etc He may even have posted somewhere or someone posted for him that he wont be getting abck into till x date etc I am sure he will reply ... I normally wait a week maybe longer to get a reply then if not I just resend it rather than spend a few lines saying how I had already tried contacting..it can come across wrong and isnt really relevant... Give him a few more days mate... and you will be swimming in no time :)1 point

Ok, since i had a problem with a "1:1" BR03 Type Aviation (real disappointment!), i brought it down to a shop mentioned in RWI forum once and struck up a conversation. He's working out or temporary premises for now but says that once he gets back to his old shop location, he'll set up his waterproof tester thingamajik. That should be 6 months from now. So maybe no swimming with the watches for now... He outsources any 7750 movement work, and says local smiths are abit "hit-and-miss" for this movement. He said he may consider sending movements overseas for servicing. Don't know if he's proficient with other movements but i notice he does carry alot of movements and parts. Well, anyway, if you need some basic work done cheap with a rep friendly 'smith, then PM me and i'll give you his contact.1 point

99.9% real....he's got over 7,000 positive feedback selling high endish stuff .... about 17 other AP's ... some of them butt ugly...... He's had over 4,000 hits on the page.... hence the 8 offers.... They have an actual showroom in NYC...... and telephone nos you can check.... etc etc This watch is Gen Rep sellers... don't have genuine boxes... and papers which are easy to spot... and usually very low feedback... limited blurb and a quick 3 day sale to see if they can catch someone !!! If you are careful you can buy Gen on Ebay... but I mean really carefull I sourced my Gen AP ROO Rose Gold Rubberclad off ebay...... made an offer... it was accepted..... so I bought it.... Guy was an authorised Rolex retailer.... and I still travelled to Italy to pick it up and pay in person...... That's what I mean by being .... really careful !!!!1 point
