  1. I make this post for a fellow member interested in the shape variations that can be achieved on DW cases. See 3 DWs (6238 is Cartel based), 2 of which are 6239s. One has the high crown position, the other the intermediary position. The 6238 is a reference to show a tonneau shape as a comparaison... You have 3 heights: 1 is the tonneau shape. Symetrical on both sides 2 is the intermediary height (acrylic PN), like what I did for the FAP posted recently 3 is the tall position (Steel bezel PN)

  4. Another example of what can be done with the new cartel 5513. WSO 580's, WSO gen spec spring bars, MBK bracelet, WSO bezel assembly, gen service insert, clarks crystal, athaya crown/tube, yuki dial/hands. reshaped case, aged dial, drilled lugs and voila!

  5. No it's franken, with gen dial, hands and movement, case and crystal are rep. Better to invest in a good rep of your favourite watch imho.

  6. That's a gen, isn't it? Mine is getting the AMG dial which isn't correct for the steel version but I don't care...I like it way better The swiss movement is getting Domis famous sec@6 mod so it ain’t a timebomb anymore. At the end it's going to be a pretty expensive rep but my favourite watch over all

  9. Although you might not see it the new mod team is hard at work. Dealers being contacted , scammers chased down (as usual) , new events in the works, our pic contest is just the first (your voting will come very soon). The mod area which you can not see has at least 7-8 threads going on all sorts of improvements, tweaks, discussions. One of our biggest and most passionately discussed being the heart and sole of RWG, do we become like the others or stay true to our core principals. Well we will be staying the gentlemen of the forum world, a site of knowledge,(not fanfare, member jumping, time outs and nukes a flying) is where we are and where we shall stay! We will be running some membership drives but do not seek to become the wild west like the others rather the home of the serious measured gentlemanly hobbyist.

  10. For what it's worth, I've found two part epoxies to be the best compromise between strength and slow set time. You have forever to adjust things but they hold almost like superglue once dry (bit stronger than GS). There is a post on here about dial feet with very large bases that I had to order from the UK. They work great, but the base does add a little space in the whole build so you can get in trouble. This also seems to work best without a date. Buy a dead Asian ETA movement cheap and use it to hold the feet while you set the dial on top. Otherwise, epoxy the dial to the spacer and the spacer to the movement or use dial dots. They seem to work surprisingly well as long as the whole thing is held solidly in the case.
