  1. perhaps the new iwc ceramic doppel?
  2. super cool watch, yet, for some reason, il looks ludicrous on that guy... seems to be a trend of many Purists pictures...
  3. Does anyone know which size crown fits on the asian PR movement in the 090 and 222?
  4. the 222 does indeed have decent mag. I have yet to actually see this dial-cyclops -- It's not noticeable at all from any angle while in the case.
  5. hermès belts would be welcomed...

    PAM 222

I assume it'll be the same that Eddie has/had/whatever...
  7. Also v, remember that seconds at 6 on a pocketwatch = seconds at 9 on a wristwatch...
  8. every 212 comes with mineral crystal. no matter what the dealer calls it. the genuine pushers are polished the crown guard is reg. tm. the subdial hands are black.
  9. who is that quartz MM from?
  10. It is actually a spring bar that has two small sleeves that cover it on either side of the 'post' -- i have ordered a selection of diameter bars from The Watch Prince and will report back -- I have the two side sleeves, but the actual spring bar has bent ...
  11. yeah, i know it's 22 mm, i meant the diameter of the actual spring bar -- like, is it 1 mm, or 2 mm thick? all the ones that i have won't fit through the hole in the buckle
  12. what is the correct diameter spring bar to fit inside a panerai deployant clasp (on the semi-circular end)? I have had one just bend and I can't find a suitable replacement anywhere in my box of tricks... Additionally, where might one procure said appropriately sized springbar?
  13. thanks ubi! I assume it has to be fully wound down.... so it'll be a while... it's impossible to get this sucker off my wrist!
  14. hah... the thing is, it's not like a 7750 where it's random... it's at the crack of 9 pm, instant...
  15. I just got one of these in a 222, i assume it is the same movement in the 090 (date quick chagne button at 8 oclock on the case) It is changing the date at 9 pm instead of midnight. Any idea if this is common? Fixable?
  16. i think we haven't seen any modern GMT pam's because there is no suitable seconds-at-9 GMT movement available... correct me if i'm wrong...
  17. is there really a cyclops on the movement? i don't see it... the date mag is bloody spectacular though
  18. I'm fully aware of the historical paint names; however, in the context of this fellow's question, it seemed more relevant to note that, as he was looking for a 1950, this is not an accurate replica, and would not be without serious distressing and aging; and even then, it would be the wrong size...
  19. that model does not exist in real life it is a luminor case with a radiomir dial. pretty much a dealbreaker if you're going for authenticity
  20. the fact that it was a supposedly 'limited production' as well seems to account for the $50 premium as well. the dial and caseback are spectacular.
  21. Anyone have any idea which would fit on the asian power reserve automatic in the new power reserves?
  22. Sorry guys, have been really busy... the last specification was not 'round' enough -- i can't understand why they are having such trouble copying a crystal that i physically sent to them... i will keep everyone posted as i'm looking for another supplier...
  23. ha ha ha ha ha ... i meant motion. don't you have pictures to be taking?
  24. hmm... mine appears to be DOA... unless there is some trick to getting this movement started... i've got a full wind and a power reserve at 40... no tick tick tick tick and no movement with the back off... edit, eddie's sending another... top-class service.
  25. Have you confirmed that it is a 7750 as he claimed and not the seiko PR movement from the 090?
