  1. A swiss 2892, though.. should be no problem...
  2. gooo... does he offer the Luminor Urina Moonphase GMT?
  3. Me too. especially the strap!
  4. I assume it's the resemblance to a real pearl. on a gen submariner the texture is quite astonishing.
  5. So the bridges are actually engraved on this version? Fantastic work, The Zigmeister!
  6. They've made hobnail dials before... They're going to have to make the round dots for the new 250 daylight... the hands are those of an arktos... I'd wager it comes sooner than later...
  7. Some news from my call this morning: 1) Exact production pricing will be available to me by the end of this week. 2) Once production is confirmed as happening, there is a four to six week lead time for sapphire crystals. 3) It is possible that A/R coating was not included in my initial cost projections; may raise per-crystal price as much as $20. 4) 50% deposit is due upon beginning of production to the company -- not out of the ordinary, but coupled with the long lead time, I want to get this out in the open as a fact. This is obviously a mixed bag of news; it seems like a) a very long time for production and that this company is outsourcing the production. I am proceeding with requesting pricing from this supplier, but am also going to attempt to find another manufacturer to recieve a quote from; perhaps to lower both prices and production time. Will keep all of you posted. (Mark, PM me!) Jonathan
  8. wow, gran... impressive work. edit: what the heck is ST-17... dateless automatic chrono movement? interesting...
  9. We're up to 19, which means that we're all but a go, if no one else becomes interested, I will take an extra ... Full pricing details should be forthcoming this week.
  10. Looks like 15 of 20 necessary (with a few maybes)... If anyone would like to repost this on RWI... i'd appreciate it, I don't have an account there.
  11. Between here and TRC we're up to 13 I believe... I called today to the manufacturer to try to hurry price info up, the woman is on vacation until tuesday... hopefully we will have 20 by then!
  12. i believe that the back is mineral; it's not part of this project though... don't see the need as this is basically to counter the scratching that seems all too common on the big domed front... not much scratching on your wrist! Chronus, it might be of interest to you, the manual version comes with a machined, very nicely finished retaining ring... My franken-flyback, when finished, will have the correct CG and caseback from the automatic, this crystal, and the movement and (most correct) face and hands of the manual version...

    XaMas Buckle

nice buckle... Italy invented fascism in 1922. Mussolini said, "Right, we're all fascists!" but most Italian people are always on scooters going, "ciao!" sorry, reminded me of eddie izzard for some reason...
  14. what material is the bracelet made of? is it rubberized metal?
  15. It should be trivial to brush the case yourself with a high-grit sanding sponge, and polishing the link is equally easy...
  16. just an FYI for you 212 owners... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=3452 completely tangential, excuse the self-promotion...
  17. Same shape, different size. I don't personally have a 127 but would be willing to work on that project in the future, as well...
  18. Finepics and I have been laying the groundwork for a run of sapphire, anti-reflective coated 1950 flyback crystals, as we have discovered (to our chagrin) that most of the flyback models are being produced with mineral crystals... (even, in some cases, if advertised as sapphire!) The crystals would be 1:1 to the current crystal, would fit both manual and automatic versions of the watch, and would be A/R coatedfrom the factory. In order to go ahead with production, though, we need to know if there is enough interest -- the factory dictates a minimum production run of 20, and, well, neither Mark nor I need 20 extra crystals laying around collecting dust. Exact cost for the crystals is still pending from the factory, but should be well under $100. If you have interest in purchasing one of these crystals, please respond to this thread or contact me. Response of interest now does not indicate any obligation to buy once the pricing information becomes available. NOTE: THESE CRYSTALS ARE FOR THE PAM 212 1950 FLYBACK CHRONO. NOT THE PAM 127 1950. Thanks! Jonathan
  19. there was a 40mm black chrono with charcoal subdials at some point -- zenith movement i believe -- but i don't think it was a regatta....

i wouldnt be so sure about the aquatimer, archibald... they have the case with the two crowns made for the new alarm model.... and it'd be a simple matter to throw an eta in there and fabricate the new bezel...
  21. I can't see that being fake...
