My first reluming attempt on my 111H and some Lume shots
Bignasty replied to cwai02's topic in General Discussion
Wow those look great! You aren't trying to do some for money are you But seriously could you do a tutorial since you are so good at it and also so great at taking photos And does it really take your camera 30 seconds to snap a shot? I guess you probably use a much nicer camera than I do. Mine snaps same speed every time. Jon Oh yeah @RBJ where can you purchase Super Luminova? -
Nice shots Wish there was a good rep. Jon

BEST Payment Option - Definitely NOT PAYPAL
Bignasty replied to trustywatchguy's topic in General Discussion
Yeah moneybookers charges as a "cash advance" from your credit card and I had the max too. All around just inconvenient. I'd rather Priority Mail a MO. Jon -

I agree special measures should be taken to prevent these issues. I really think the "invoice" idea would work well! Or those buy it now buttons! JOn -
My only complaint with the Asian 21J movements is I have had 2 or 3 in the past month and a half come DOA with some sort of issue, ie. running then stopping, date set issues, or just completely dead. For me its ETA as far as the basic movements go. I'll still get the CN 6497 and I'm trying out a 7750b1 (which will end up in The Zigmeister's hands before its all over with). My 2cents. Jon

Here's the site. http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/casinoroyale/ It's actually a very good teaser, longer than I expected. I've never read Casino Royale, but from the likes of the preview it seems as though its the beginnings of Bond! Looks interesting, and he's wearing the Black PO w/ rubber strap too! I've gotta get one of those before the movie comes out Jon

Same problem here in the States.

I don't want to sound like a dumb@ss here, but isn't the center pin supposed to be recessed on the reps or is that just on the Unitas Reps? Sorry I don't want to belittle the situation because I definately think whoever did this is stupid ;and should be BANNED but I just saw this detail and wanted to know! Jon

So I walked into a Rolex dealer with my rep Yachtmaster
Bignasty replied to a topic in The Rolex Area
OK Homie G'd up yo yo yo Folex???? OK OK sorry just had to say that. I've been collecting reps since I was in high school! But I know one thing and I've known it since then. No matter how good the rep was and how well dressed I looked, because I was styling back in the day, (sorry had to say that too! ) OK back on track from that tangent, but really dude? If you are in school, riding the bus, hollering at a cheerleader, and sporting a Rolex that most 40 and 50 year old men can't purchase I think you've got all the odds against you! Seriously some common sense please. Its cool to impress the kids at school, make a little money on the side maybe, dress nice and sport your Rollie to Applebees on Saturday night but DON'T AND I MEAN DON'T go walking in to any fine watch or jewelry store sporting a rep of any quality because you are asking to get PLAYED DUDE! And I especially wouldn't try to take a PP or AP into one either. When you walk in with your "Chronograph" that has Day, Date, and Year on it they are going to spot you even quicker! Be smart playa! Keep collecting, be patient, when you finish school and I mean college as well! You might be able to pull off the YM in an AD but not while your RIDING THE BUS! And especially don't try to tell your GF or wanna be GF the watch is real either because if she finds out the Watch is fake, she's gonna find out YOU ARE FAKE TOO! Its gonna be hard to get respect here on the forums now, but lay low, learn some more, and eventually you'll be able to roll with the BIG BOYS! Cheers! Jon -
What happened to the swan neck? It looks like it was removed? You can see glue marks I mean where I guess it was placed? Jon

Joshua's Serviced Planet Oceans - Waterproof Test
Bignasty replied to TJGladeRaider's topic in The Omega Area
So it appears as though two of our dealers are taking into consideration the thoughts and views of our members which no matter what way you swing it, sounds great to me My hats off to Andrew and Joshua for their efforts to at least improve the reps that are accessible to us! I'm happy and eager to see more when you get the results of your tests and new stocks in! Jon -
Now this would be a "how to" I would really like to see in the repairs and mods section! I've got some leather I wouldn't mind making in to strap, just don't know how. I've thought about it before many times! Looks nice Jon
-
I'm in especially the part about having sapphire crystals made. Let me know when you get more details. I'm gonna need an AR Sapphire for my fiddy as well as others! Jon

Mind me asking, and if I'm not breaking the code of silence , how much you paid? Jon

Seamaster Pro from Joshua in only 6 days!
Bignasty replied to Slartibartfast's topic in The Omega Area
Looks real similar to the version I got from TWG a week or so ago. Love it love it love it. Thats all I can say. And I don't give a d@mn about the screw links in the bracelet. Thats an improvement I can certainly live with. I think some people here forget sometimes that these are REPS and not the real thing! Sometimes a wee bit too critical.... Wear it well. Its a great looking watch Jon -
Don't know about Paul, but EL and TWG both have 111h and 183 black seal that are nearly dead on. Obvious fixes would be cannon pinion fix and Superluminova, both available from The Zigmeister! Got the 111h w/ Swan Neck and a nice Toscana 24/24 Distressed strap from Elazarus both on order as we speak! I can deal w/ the Cannon Pinion and the regular lume for now! Jon
-
If you want to make it truely accurate you should put it on a stainless bracelet, like the Gen. Beautiful watch though. I'm considering this one too. Jon
-
You get it for $400 please let me know I'm be on it like stink on $hit. Jon
-
I've heard through one of our dealers that the 187 is available now, but the dealers are forced to buy high quantities and the price (their cost) is way too high! In other words, this watch is going to stay high if people continue to pay the current high asking price, or it will eventually take a major price drop as the supply builds too greatly. I'm hoping for the later. I will buy one once the price is reasonable. But I will not through over $500 on an Asian 7750 movement from some dealer I can't trust at ioffer. I will wait until one of our reputable dealers has up for grabs! Meanwhile I'll keep buying other reps until I can't buy any more I'm hooked Jon

Bignasty replied to Bignasty's topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
Thanks Ubi that would be awesome. Unfortunately I don't have hand pulling/setting tools, yet anyway. I'm gonna see what the dealer says, but I may take you up on that offer. Jon
