  1. Friend sent me this morning! Check out line items 196-299 and 301-386! This is Madoffs lot that was seized and now for auction. 11-14 PUBLIC Catalog.pdf Kind of goes like this..... Rolex $85,000 Rolex $70,000 Rolex $68,000 and so on and so on!
  2. Watches should fit on your wrist relative to proportion. My $0.02, if the lugs are hanging off or the bracelet is hanging 90 degrees to the case to where the clasp is just touching the underside of your wrist, the piece is too big for you. A watch bracelet/strap should wrap your wrist. I love the SO Heritage for this reason. It was a excellently executed piece that was a throw back in styling to the late 1950's while incorporating the size of today's watches. Can't wait for mine to arrive tomorrow!
  3. I have turned Proffesional. Proffesional what yet, I don't know!
  4. MASSIVE difference. I don't have a Skyland, but I can tell you that the BCE is dwarfed to the SA. Will get some pics up tonight. Here is a SA to SOSF. The SOSF is less then 1mm bigger then the BCE.
  5. I am complimenting his piece. I think the “Tachymetre” is so subdued on the Gen, there is no point in having it. Breitling should have made it stand out more like the Rep. as the red text really goes well with the dial.
  6. The explanation can not be put into anymore of a laymen
  7. Looking over your pics, the "Tachymetre" stands out much better over the Gen. Very hard to even see it on the Gen.
  8. Please share some pics of that. I have the Gen. Rhodium dial and I have been trying to figure out leather strap for it and have come up with nothing. Now silver CF might be it! Box looks Gen. but it is incorrect for this model. Congrats on your winnings!
  9. I know! Keep telling myself that especially after seeing yours! That is okay though, I have a new bird landing on my wrist Friday.
  10. Congrats! Beautiful piece! Now I am really kicking myslef for not buying one 2 months ago when the AD near my house was folding up, $3K out the door.
  11. Beautiful! Seeing this makes me want to start modding mine since there seems to be little to no interest in it on the sales thread..
  12. You can try heating it, but do not be surprised if you have a even more difficult time getting it the pin or screwdriver. This is due to thermal expansion of materials. The bracelet is going to be stainless, but the screwdriver, being that is sounds like a nice Swiss one, is going to be hardened steel. The stainless if going to have less thermal expansion then the screwdriver, so when you heat it up, you could actually cause to screwdriver to bite into the bracelet harder. Basically you have caused a extreme press fit between the bracelet and pin removal tools. Try securing the bracelet in a vise and using Vise-Grips on the screwdriver as you need more of a clamp load then what you can get with pliers. Turn the Vise-grips/pin in one direction while pulling away form the bracelet. You can also try some anti-seize penetrating oil.
  13. Welcome! As Agrippa said, the straps are pretty stiff off the get go rep or gen. They need time to break-in. The rep deployment clasp has much less curve to it then the gen, so it does not fit any where near as comfortably. Same goes for the rep. bracelets that I have found. The other issue with the deployment I have found is that the strap takes a set. This make fine tuning it for a perfect fit, near impossible, as the strap will work its way back to the set position. After a long day I have found that my strap is a little tight so I adjust it. It stays adjusted for about a day or so, before it goes back to the set position I moved it from. Right now the best combination working for me is a tang style strap with after marker dual deployment. Kind of the best of both Worlds. Easy to adjust smaller or bigger, does not wear out the strap like a tang buckle, does not take a set, and has the security of a deployment when taking the watch on or off.
  14. What movement came in your old Pam196? PAM 250, 196, 188, 251, it does not matter as the Date Window in the dial is setup in the same location relative to the type of movement used. If your dial is from a A7750 movement modified to the 7753 layout (3-6-9), it has the DW further inboard (smaller diameter DW). So if you put a A7750 dial over a Eta 7753 movement, the date window will overshadow the numbers. You need a dial with the date window further outboard to accommodate the bigger diameter of the 7753 DW. That is what Pam 250 overlay is showing. A7750 window dial location to a Eta 7753 window dial location.
  15. Read this regarding the 7753 Dial to 7750. 7753 / 7750 Overlay
  16. Wow! Great review, thanks for taking the time to do it!
  17. Looks like C1 as, C3 is more yellow and C1 is white. The C1 has about 35% the glow of C3. They do make a BG W9 which is white and 95% the brightness of C3.
  18. I worked a few years back on a RFID tag for LV. If you brought two Gen pieces together or against a special scanner the tag would glow. They funny thing was, they thought this would prevent counterfeiting or their products!
  19. Wow for some reason the polished rider tabs stuck out more the numbers on the bezel, because I know Ti and Ti does not polish like that. Guess I have just trained myself to see the tiniest of details.
  20. The polished rider tabs. You can Very easily take a serial number call the Tourneau's he purchased it from and have them verify they did in fact sell this watch.
  21. Thanks HackR for the tip. I will give him a try. Looking for some Buffalo as Breitling no longer makes them.
