my plan would be to buy the old version 5513 case from ET $165 +dial $65 or yukis version $160 (both dials are incorrect looking, it's the "submariner" font that kills it on the MBK) +21j asian movement w/hands $10 since you want slow beat anyways (they can be accurate movements) and date change is NOT important, tropic crystal from Clarks $20-$30, Insert and remove the garbage pearl leaving it missing $25, throw it on a nato strap for that classic bond look $20. proper springbars $10 ,age the insert and hands , drill the lugs, and trim the CGs and scratch it up a little yourself. $FREE
awesomeness for $320 and a fun creative project
personally i'd do it myself, so you're guaranteed to get the actual servicing done. Most ETAs run +5 outof the box anyways, you can lube your own gaskets and adjust your own movement with little risk. I've heard of this additional service from members here that the dealers offer as sending your watch on a tour of asia then coming home to you no different than you sent it. if you want the movement serviced try The Zigmeister, he has a good rep with servicing movements and calibrating them.
He wants a rep with the correct crystal profile, what youre looking for is to install a sterkreuz 336 or 341 or 342 in your rep. Member fxrandy can source these for you.
Gran turismo for the hardcore racer and need for speed games for more casual fun racing, drakes fortune call of duty and assassins creed for action, lego games for kids and action as well as little big planet or give the gift of playstation store credits so they can download their own games they wish
the date change gear could be out of its pivot socket. The slightest touch could push it out just enough to not change over, however it may look like its sitting correctly since it works with a tiny pin to keep it cented and balanced. Unless you plan to return it to Otto, disassemble to reset it, observe how it interacts with the copper spring arm to determine to error. If you wanna pay the shipping both ways I could try and fix your 3135 for you.
MBKs are always expensive and always over $300, I wonder what they cost from the actual store in MBK
see my friend from highschool now lives and works in Thailand for at least the next few years but refuses to co-operate in going to MBK for me. This , as you can guess is FRUSTRATING! But since the Polfy cases are going extinct for the new NON gen moddable ones im not sure if I should really care However he invited me there since he runs the resort and can get me 1/3 off the package price, so who knows, maybe i'll go in January...any requests?
Subdial spacing is too wide, the rehaut is unpainted gen is satin black, and the crystal should be plastic and domed, the rep has a flat sapphire crystal, and the 12hour totalizer dial is faux and rotates the dial every 24hours. oh, and the clasp lacks the "professional" engraving.
that about sums it up.
you can fix all BUT the sub dial spacing.
CGs, Bezel insert print, crown may be too thick, the crystal gasket exchange also looks odd in the pics, the rehaut isnt deep enough, and the case tube is not like gen, large laser etched crown. good dial tho
looks like a typical noobmariner to me. nothing wrong with that, it's a good rep at a good price, just so much has been advanced since then.
GREAT looking watch in its OWN right, very good movement as i've never had a problem with any chronographs i've owned with this movement. as for the accuracy of replicating the omega speedmaster... NOT EVEN CLOSE. its like putting a Mercedes badge on a hyundai genesis. Kinda looks like a Benz, may be mistaken for one, but if you've ever seen one you'd know its not one... still a great looking car tho and worth the price.

Knowing the inaccuracy of the moon rep I still had to have one. no regrets.
