  1. Well if you go through BK, I have NO PROBLEM saying he's a stand up guy, and it wouldnt be unreasonable for him to refund your money if he couldnt provide you with what you paid for. In fact he's offered refunds for those who want out of their TT wm9 deal.
  2. yeah im surprised WM9 ISNT public enemy number one as far as Rolex is concerned. His reps are the best, can fit gen parts, exacting dissections of genuines, and pretty renowned in rep circles. He's the top of the list. sadly i'd say its only a matter of time before he, and all those involved tumble. if he's smart he'll quit the game while he's ahead by a few million and not get greedy. Most people get caught in all activities of gray to black markets by staying in the game too long. make your million and get out. So in other words buy up some stock from wm9 before it becomes the "new" closed factory case.
  3. wm9 cases are finished great, lots of people swim with the steel without rusting. WM9 wouldnt go to such lengths to build a 1:1 without at least using some decent surgical steel, same as piercing quality that people swim with all the time, and I doubt BK is an 8 year old assembly boy 904L just begs to inflate and semi justify the price being an exclusive pseudo semi precious metal im sure BK can attest to the quality of the hard metal used in wm9 cases
  4. used Gen is the way to go with OMEGA, the price puts ownership within reach of any collector really, and you feel the sense and pride of gen ownership for little cost.
  5. I firmly BELIEVE you can build a replica of EQUAL quality to that of a submariner. WM9 is an example of this, paired with a chronometer grade movement and what does a Rolex sub REALLY offer over this? 904L isnt even practical for the average buyer, heck even a professional diver needn't have it. But get into more sophisticated movements such as the GMT with adjustable hour hand and you cant really find that anywhere else (as far as I know) As far as quality of gold and jewels, well then you cant match the quality in a replica to the genuine article. For sports models a Rolex rep gives the genuine article a run for its money and is kind of hard to justify paying a genuine price for something that is all steel with a date. This fact im sure has Rolex scared as theyre even going as far as to file a lawsuit against ebay for not stopping enough counterfeit trades. Dont believe the marketing about taking a year to build one as Rolex produces about 2000+ watches a day. Youre buying the brand, prestige, and exclusivity of a $500 watch for sixty-five hundred.
  6. rep aint bad, the tach on the dial is off tho and missing lume at the sub dials
  7. Im waiting to see what happens with this one http://www.puretimewatch.com/index.php?productID=2148 hopefully it's offered in a GreatWhite dial and is available soon, otherwise I might start an expensive MBK project
  8. JMB you're great at finding the diamonds in the rough, that looks like a GREAT beater at a great price. Id personally work those crown guards a bit more. excellent
  9. The rehaut is also the incorrect color and needs a satin black air brushing
  10. Puretimes looks good, im interested, hopefully theyll carry a Great White as well.
  11. so what needs doing on this $98 rep to make it sparkle? and what are it's limitations?
  12. you misaligned the keyless works, youll need to disassemble and reset it, common problem
  13. is the crown stem too short? is it not engaging in the winding position fully before screwing down?
  14. I've used 3M scrap-booking tape for the past year without incident. 3M makes great reliable adhesives. try that. I wouldnt pay $80 to fix that movement when you can find a perfectly functioning used one for the same price, GENUINE too. I found a used one that has currently kept -2.5 to +3secs for the past year.
  15. if you need to boot from the DVD burn the image file to disc using nero and restart the computer. make sure the bios is set to boot from the disc device. You could also trying extracting the image to a usb key and booting from there if your bios supports that. but it's best to burnt he dvd and be done with it, that way you also have a hard backup of the OS
  16. why hasnt the noobfactory done a lot of things? like make a better coronet on the clasp, or make a 14060, or make the rehaut deeper? All those things would improve it by miles and it seems easy enough
  17. I havnt reinstalled Windows in years since i discovered "deepfreeze" you basically sandbox your system meaning anything you run or download isnt a permanent problem once you restart your PC, it goes back to factory fresh. You partition your drive and keep one partition "thawed" for holding data like personal important stuff and downloads you wish to keep. It's good practice regardless, to keep the system drive and everything else on a seperate partition, makes restoring a bad system a breeze. You can also restart in a universal thawed mode to do updates and maintenance to the frozen drive. I no longer have an anti virus or spyware software installed, freeing up system resources and my boot time.
  18. how much is their 1680 or 5513 case? I cant see prices without registering.
  19. by improvement you mean... ACTUALLY being made by ETA.
  20. I believe Narikaa also provides these? But I think they travel and dont get them often or you have to request in advance. correct me if im wrong.
  21. Theres one on ebay right now, but youre not going to like the price. Search by part number not "sub bezel insert"
