  1. has anyone here ever dealt with Mickey @ sinowatches? www.sinowatches.com ?
  2. but visually as a whole is the PT case different? or just in the inner construction?
  3. as an owner of a euromariner case please elaborate on accuracy thanks
  4. you DONT want those engravings. theyre far from perfect currently
  5. ive always just shaved the actual insert down to about 0.53mm in depth and i still achieve the gen bezel lip look. in fact i can usually get them to snap in and stay in place perfectly without ever using glue
  6. a lot of people by the "clarks 295c" aftermarket 1:1 crystal, with one gasket included, for the euromariner. I soon too, will be one of them.
  7. one could easily say that about any other watch brand out there pay for the name
  8. LOVE IT! snowflake hands are so awesome!
  9. is the clarks date mag strength stronger or weaker than the custom one Chris had installed on the euro model V2 glass?
  10. dremel is good, but i have no idea what to expect with using it on the rehaut, so even if it takes 3 hours im gonna do it by hand to get it right, dont wanna use the dremel at 3500rpm and have it look uneven or go too far because of the high speed of the dremel. i lack control and skill due to my inexperience. ill post how long i takes by hand and attach some pics of my results does PTs new 1:1 sub have an accurate engraving?
  11. ive tried to find them before as well. Eurotimez said he might have some kicking around a while back. try him.
  12. asian is MORE than HALF the price. some people dont seem to have much problem with them. any one know the actual difference mechanically?
  13. Seikos probably ARE the best watches you can buy at price to quality ratio, in fact i love em. i have a 30 year old seiko that doesnt miss a beat, hand wound 17jewel keeping very accurate time, and i dont think its ever been serviced. she was probably just trying to sell you some merchandise because she figured you had the capital to do so. like if i walked into an authrozied omega dealer with a rolex on my wrist theyd probably tell me about what great omegas they had and their adjustment service was free or something. i was wearing my sub in a watch tools supply store and the guy was trying to sell me a citizen miyota dress watch. i didnt feel insulted, i enjoyed seeing it. if it was purely a jewellery store than i understand, theyre there to sell products and dont need to know much else, theyre sales people first, the guy in the back probably knew the difference. sometimes the people in the store dont really know much about anything other than whats in their store.
  14. yeah i was wondering about the engraving on the rehaut, never seen an M serial in the flesh, but im thinking ill sand mine out as well. i have 1200 grit paper, wonder how much polish itll need after
  15. i was toying with the idea of that workaround for a non winding watch on the winder : )
  16. ajoesmith had a tutorial on movement swap. but the photo links are dead. however all the information is still there. i think removing the hour hand is the hardest part of the swap. i got it done well on my first attempt, but still could of done better... so practise, then practise SOME MORE : ) good luck
  17. the 16610 looks awesome on my girlfriend and she has tiny wrists... check out the Tudor mini sub i think theres a few sizes for Tudor subs....boys, ladies, and mens.
  18. i got a cheapie off ebay for $50 delivered. its a single winder, pretty quiet but still audible. kept my gmt nicely wound for when i needed it. only problem was it wouldnt wind my DG4813 SUB AT ALL no matter which orientation it was winding in. there are some days i just dont feel like wearing a sub...
  19. the euromariner i have has an almost invisible crown etching, MUCH smaller than on my noob watch
  20. Bk comes modded PTs has proper 40mm case that accepts gen parts BK=noob case @38mm no gen parts without some serious mods PTs will need an insert and pearl and CGs modded, and perhaps some self quality control. BKs is VERY eye catching..PTs looks nice but i have not seen it in the flesh, so other than the tech about accepting gen parts its a tough choice...for BKs there is usually always a waiting list
  21. i bet Bond would actually wear a Breitling Emergency watch. i know many SAS agents wear this model.
