  1. 236 is a run of 500 watches so the caseback is also different.
  2. Thanks what I'm talking about! Not keen on the croc strap but the watch is killer.
  3. what, no chrono sweep action? yellow card!
  4. I've been trying to place a pre-order over the weekend but it looks like the option has been removed?
  5. Since I got my 236 from The Zigmeister's full movement service I've been running chrono most of the time. When I need to time something i just reset and start over, otherwise it's my centre seconds. The power reserve is fine, though I haven't taken it off the wrist for more than 30-36 hours (with chrono stopped), just have to give my beloved honpo 29B some wrist time too I can tell you the watch even feels different after the movement service - no more freespinning rotor, it's quieter, the pushers click sound and feel is better, and overall just feels more composed.
  6. hand hubs are fixed, the DW is not changed, the lume is messed up, and if i know anything about this - the next iteration will have the lume fixed but will introduce/re-introduce more issues. business as usual.
  7. Put the pin in a dremel chuck and run it on low-medium speed against your wife's nail file or if you're not married a knife sharpening stone or a sheet of coarse sandpaper will do. You want to be ~320-600 grit for the best effect.
  8. It's very likely machined finish like the rest of PreV CG pins and blackened like the lug bar screws. That's the only reason I can see the color would rub out after extensive use. Most non NOS 203/a pics show the pin with very little coating or just plain SS.
  9. Update: For those that are following the project, it is still very much alive. The case is now coming back to Watchmeister from the last CNC shop that cannot mill this size item from 316L billet. After that it's coming to me as I will be taking over the effort. I will do regular check-ins at 1month marks to keep everyone up to date on the progress.
  10. In addition you need to keep in mind that not all OEM datwheels are the same when it comes to font thickness either.
  11. I agree, looks way nicer. Did you ask them to pick a good one?
  12. Hi Marty, Is the lever stub long enough for deep dish crowns like OEM or classic T48?
  13. Looking at his submersible CG in Ti I can only say it's the same exact crappy CG as the SS one, don't know why you'd want one.
  14. The crown is def. spring-loaded. About not changing the date between 8-4, I always thought it was 10 & 2 on 7750 type movements, is this no longer the case?
  15. What about email notifications on subscribed subs?
  16. i dont think email notifications are working either
  17. I'm with you on this. There was an interesting thread that discussed this very issue recently. You can look at it here.
  18. Has anyone figured out what material to replace the soft bushing in the lever with?
  19. sl48 will not work because of: - hex tube - it's shallow so the lever wont close
  20. B, I heard the same thing from Connie, actually the quality might be getting worse for a while because the demand is so high. They are certainly not interested in V2 or anything because there aren't enough watches, especially in the new rubber-deploy configuration. She told me she had to go through several watches herself before even presenting me with QC pics. I was purchasing a 236 just a couple of days ago for a friend. At this rate I seriously doubt there will be any adjustments until things settle down. Actually, I suspect this is why we're not seeing any new models. The 187 and manual wind models have all been pushed back because they want to reach a saturation point with this model first.
