  1. Heh, I paid $160 USD to fill my car with diesel tonight ( eighty UKP) Crazy
  2. Hi My Asian GMTII IHS arrived from Josh. It seems to work great. It has an uneven crystal so I'm guessing I should fix this to ensure the watch is waterproof - if anyone has a link to a guide I'd be very grateful. Saying that, I don't swim or shower in my watches anyway so it's not the end of the world for me if it stays as it is. The bezel is great, there may even be some ceramic in there. Uneven crystal withstanding, fit and finish seem excellent on this watch. I've not tried to set the GMT function ; I have no need for it and whether it works or not is irrelevant to me, so I will just leave it as it is. Bracelets on Rolexes will forever be associated with Essex second-hand car dealers for me, so this watch went straight on to a green Rhino (NATO-style) strap. Although the colours do not match exactly, the green strap and the green GMT hand and dial font are aesthetically pleasing to me. I will give the bracelet away to whomsoever wants it; PM me - first come first served. Here are some pictures, and a couple of my SD for comparison. Best, Noslen
  3. Clearly a man of taste. SSD is one of the best out there. Enjoy.
  4. Too true Ztech. If you're not careful, the stuff you own ends up owning you. Which is why I don't care about stuff. This is a much easier philosophy to follow when your beautiful watch cost only $300, not $6000!
  5. Pro-Hunter's business plan seems to be: 1: PVD-coat Rolexes 2: Add "Pro-Hunter" script to the dial 3: Double the price 4: PROFIT!!!!!! Send me your Rolex, I'll get it PVD coated for you and add a nice "Pro-Noslen" script to the dial, all for only $3000. Nos
  6. That looks awesome. Nos
  7. Meh, I hate these things. Touch screen, camera, mp3 yadda yadda. To me phones (and laptops, gadgets etc) are just tools to do a job. Hey guys, mobile phones ceased to be a status symbol in 1989. No chick (or guy) is going to sleep with you because you have a Mac. Maybe if it was a Sparcstation running Solaris..... For me my phone must: 1: make calls 2: do email 3: do SMS 4: Last for about a year until I get a new one. Nokia perfected the art with the 6310i back in the day. The only thing this phone really lacked was a decent native email client, but you could download one. The battery lasted for weeks without charging, and the phone was solid as a rock.
  8. UPO, SSD, SFSO, Ingy spring to mind. Use the search, Luke.
  9. I have a NATO G10 from Watchworx, it's a great strap. I also have a Rhino from Eddie at Timefactors which is much thicker. I like them both.
  10. GQ, Esquire and all those magazines are trying to turn men into women. They might as well come with a free vagina. Seriously, did our fathers even know what moisturiser was? Edit to add: If you have to learn how to dress for business from a magazine, you aren't important or successful enough for it to matter anyway.
  11. Jeans, t-shirt and trainers nearly all the time. Those guys I see walking around the city with spiky hair, expensive shirts, tight girly trousers and pointy shoes crack me up. Image-obsessed fashion victims
  12. Just about to go out motocrossing. The best thing about a G is if you do manage to break it, you won't care, because you'll probably be dead too.
  13. Unless I have something to say that will add to the conversation or thread I keep my mouth shut. I guess many people feel the same.
  14. A few years ago I owned a gen SD. Bought it with my bonus from my first proper job out of university. Great watch, I'd been a fan of Rolex (and especially the SD) since a teenager but could never afford one, and saw this as a right of passage. However walking around with

  16. Hey neat, I've been after a Pro Lex Sub Comex 1000 Gauss for ages.
  17. You're looking at it the wrong way: when I look at my watch it tells me there's always time for more time But welcome - you will find once you open the box there is no going back; your life will never be the same again. Nos
  18. I agree to an extent; counterfeit drugs, food, aircraft parts are terrible things; their performance directly affects lives. Counterfeit watches, shoes and bags on the other hand? I couldn't care less. The reason these goods are counterfeited is partly because of the greed of the manufacturers. I mean come on, is an LV or Coach bag worth any more than one from Marks and Spencer? Of course not. Vastly inflated prices due to greed.
  19. I've used Renapur on all my leather goods for years, it's amazing stuff. Treat your straps with this and they become buttery soft and water resistant. Nos Link to Renapur
  20. I guess it's personal taste - for me there's not much cooler than a PAM on a Pirate
