This is very suspicious. All 3 boards and PureTime attacked at once. Honestly, without being too paranoid, who other than the gen makers
would have such a grudge against the rep community? Unless it was a lone gunman like Lee Harvey Oswald
Yes, I have to agree - many times rep movements will require fixing. It's true that gens also require
periodic servicing but very rarely are they DOA or break in a month. That is the main drawback of this hobby. The qc pix
are, IMO, not very helpful. They only show that the watch was working at that time, still can break in a week.
Eurotimez??
I wouldn't really said he did too much to advance this hobby, his whole thing about qc was pure hype.
Agree- I have a Grey Themes that I paid $700 with servicing and AR etc.from a member here. The thing is pretty but has always run
too fast and can't even be regulated.
Looks Ok, but not woth $358. Depending on the movent, its worth from about $100- 250 tops.
But at least you ended up with a pretty good watch, better than nothing. Stick to trusted dealers next time.
I just found one of my early reps- circa 1995 bought in Colombia, SA. It's says Sub but the insert looks like a GMT, no 3rd. hand.
I paid about $40, hadn't worn it in at least 10 years but the 21J movement still works.
Why take a chance after all the problems with George and WM9? There are alot of other dealers around
who I'm sure are more reliable. Don't you think BK would be involved if it was legit?
