i don't think that any of these reps are very accurate yet.
good deal though, the bracelet is brushed which i think is correct, the cgs &
crown is way off.
i'm a big rollie fan but this watch doesn't move me too much. too bulky for me.
yes, it think its a jewelry outlet insert. as i said BK did it very well and reasonable,
he picked one with a nice pearl too. i didn't bother with the cgs or crown- we're
in a depression!
th PT seems to be bigger you're right. we had this discussion before- are the noobs really smaller
the Maxidial seems smaller too.
I just got the new super sub from PT and i really think it feels great.
i also have a noob LV that i paid $700 @ Ideal watches next too it.
it has been given a new insert by the famous BK. Not worth the $$ but it looks pretty
good and BK said its an eta at least.
i just got my sub today from PT. ireally like the overall feel and size
of the watch. i don't mind the solid bracelet. it gives the watch some more heft.
the noob bracelet is knda flimsy- imo. for some reason- the lume sucks!
will post some pix later. don't worry you're not missing much!
I like it.
BTW- when will the rep factories stop with the stupid green hologram
stickers and put that etching that's on the side of the case. That's becoming a big tell, the gens don't have the
green sticker anymore.
Considering the financial crisis, which of the sport models so you think may become the most valuable in
the future? I was think of getting a SD which has now been replaced by the new DSD.
Or perhaps a 'pepsi' GMT like By-Tor bought. Look what's happening with the vintage SD! About16K for a dial.
how about the new ultimate submariner? i heard it gets good mileage.
btw- seems like you don't like german cars, but i just got a new VW convertible
(eos- hard top), its nice!! i get tons of compliments. 4 cyl. turbo, fast & about 24 mpg
here in nyc.
thanx again everybody. i really have to stop with the collection.the economy sucks. these fora
seem to 'enable' my weakness. maybe after the new WM9 sub....
i can already hear by-tor- "spoken like a true addict"
and yes fred- truly the ulimate, perfect, super, 1:1 chest!
i bought one of the new Grand Carreras but i don't really think they are doing that
well. i don't think they lived up to the hype, but a pretty nice watch. i think the size and slow
beat mov't did it in.
err- exactly what i meant to say. this is moday- i must be in omega
land. rolex is really getting OUT OF CONTROL with the prices.
my gmt went up 33% in abit more than 1 year!
i really like the orange bezel model of this watch. they say the smaller (42.5mm)
rep isn't as good as the big one. 45mm is just too big for me (about 5'7' & 71/2 " wrist)
usually. i decided to get the gen. you can get a good deal online for about 30% off and the list price is about $3600.
it's much less than the sub- now costing 6K after the recent price increases. the omega is almost as good-IMO.
some people like it better- see recent thread about the face off between the sub/seamaster.
i have her almost 2 years and the watch works well. the only problem is the manual winder doesn't work.
i have to keep it on the wrist. i bought it from a 'scam site' for about $1000. it may actually have a real swiss 7750,
so they claim. i think its possible. i have 2 other daytonas - both had serious problems. i'm sure they are asian 7750's.
one had the sec @6 dial frozen- now it works great.
