  1. I saw this IWC Saint Exupery and immediately fell in love with it. I like IWC and this just appealed to me. I know, lots to pick at for accuracy but the case is nice, the dial is pristine, the strap is one of the best one's I have ever gotten for a rep, a nice folding clasp and it even came in a nice wooden box - all from the dealer at 75 USD. 2. b16a2 got it first. I saw this when I was resizing the bracelet. I kept stairing at it and had to had to get my other UPO out to figure what was not right. At first I thought that the bracelet had simply been put on backwards but then I saw the error. Ok: Noob's responce - SOB - this is a piece of crap - I want my money back - this is not right - I can't live with this - it drives me crazy... Seasoned rep guy - Wow - that seems interesting... And ubiquitous got it right - this is a fantastic stroke of luck - it is rare - one of a kind - it is a collector's item - I will make a fortune when I sell this... Usil
  3. I bought an Ultimate PO in March and things were horribly wrong on it. Crown would not screw in, He valve loose and could not be tightened, Pearl was cocked and it just plain stopped when ever it wanted too. Sent it back for repair or replacement and got it back in about 3 weeks. Pearl still cocked and the He valve was in the same condition but it did run and the crown did screw in. The dealer was very apologetic and said he would send me a knew watch for my trouble. So, the second watch arrives and looks and runs great but wait, there was something not quite right about it. Now what could it be? Usil
  4. I was always told that Portugese was similar to Spanish but when I was in Portugal last year I too thought that it sounded like Russian. Strange. Usil
  5. If you ever get a tail wind you can do 200 miles for the day. Thanks again for the rolling commentary. A lot of us are following yoiu wishing we could be there too. Usil
  6. Is the IWC Logo missing from the buckle or is it just not visible from reflection? Usil
  7. Does the strap smell like vanilla? Usil
  8. Now that is a good job. That Black is perfect. As for the Kevlar strap, I got one with an Ingy I bought from a member and it was terrible. I threw it away. Usil
  9. I like this a lot but not for the 183. I like how the stiching is more centered rather than towards the edge as most bands have. It adds a design factor that I have not seen before. Such a little change and a big impact on it's appearance. This would be good as a 26mm design for a Fiddy. Usil
  10. Zed, I have one of those Bergeon Tools and it has never opened a single case back for me. I prefer sticky balls. Usil
  11. Sorry, don't want a watch made of the same materials as my Mom's crock pot. Usil
  12. The mbw submariner lv date looks like there is a black line across the 10 showing in the data window? Usil
  13. Wow. Very nice watch and the lume is mucho luminous. Usil
  14. Thanks for reporting on your new purchase. I have been so close to buying one for the past 6 months. This is a very nice looking Breitling. Usil
  15. That is a very long strap. You must have 9 inch wrists. Usil
  16. Pugs, why did you ever buy that watch? It belongs in the bucket. Usil
  17. If it were my watch, I would live with it. I know - I hate it when I see a small flaw but I have to be realistic on these reps. If I ever regulated it I might also try a light cleanup carefully with a small cotten swab but if you have never taken a watch apart before I would not recommend it. A watch smith could clean the dial for you with no problems. Leave it alone long enough and you will forget all about it. Usil
  18. Wow, what kind of tires are on that bike in the last picture? And why the insolated wrap around the center of the bike? Usil
  19. You are probably right. I was making some assumptions on a similar one that had a yellow color instead of white and was not sure if it was the exact same model. WAIT - it was your avatar that I saw. Is that not the Cousteau? Usil
  20. I think this is going to be a popular watch. Do yoiu think that there will make the other dial variations? Since the hard part is over, dial color variations would be easy. I like the yellow on the blue rather than the white on the blue. And 800 for a rep - that will never happen with me. Usil
  21. I always tell it is a rep but I have to agree with those that say most never look or notice. I think it is just us guys and the gen forumns that go around looking at wrists or try to spot the model in a movie. We are in the minority. Usil
  22. Hell of a journey. When I was in college a friend and I rode our motorcycles from Illinois to Denver Colorada non-stop. Rained all the way across Missouri every step of the way. Dried out half way cross Kansas - kept going till we had to stop and get a cat nap at a road side park. Got back on the moto's and kept going to Denver. 18 hours on the road and I could barely feel my butt. Stopped at an all you can eat chicken place and I think we ate every last piece of chicken in the place. Your journey puts that trip to shame. Will you actually step into South America at the end? Also, be very careful through Cental America as there are bandits on the roads. Usil
  23. While the price is high, the process to get to this point was a good one. Input from the forum was asked for and freely given. Unfortuantely, perfection is illusive and seems as much it happens by chance rather than by design. Still the effort was made and guidance achieved a reasonable success. We always want better - that is just our nature seeking perfection. The price, however just is too high as some have pointed out the latest BCE with swiss 7750 for $450. The dealers could quickly sell every one from this first batch if they just priced accordingly. Usil
