  2. That could have been Aussie, as well. The clue to me was the User's Local Time bit under the avatar. Yes, I realise the world would be a better place, especially if you're asking regional questions about buying reps, if everyone were to fill in their locations, but people generally treat that field as a joke for some reason.
  3. Once again ... UK? I am actually rereading the post and he asked for a choice between two cars and everyone seems to be sugegsting two different cars, one of which isn't even available in his country.
  4. Ok, it would seem people don't know what models are available for TTK's MBW-alike Group Buy. So, any of you people with your vintage Rolexes from Maria, George or that stall in Bangkok, please share your wares with everyone. I'll start it off with my Great White 1665 and my White Sub 1680, straight from the bag. my White Sub 1680: If I can do crown guards like this, so can you: my Great White 1665 with added gen pearl: my Noobmariner, 1680 and 1665: Now, anyone got a Bacon Double Cheese Seadweller or a Milhouse? How about a single-red Sub/SD?
  5. Here's your catalogue: You want a Sub 1680 (red or white) or a Seadweller 1665 (red, double-red or white)? Sure there are others, but if you know what you want, you already know what's available. There truly aren't that many different models. Tell you what, I'll do a photo request...
  6. I'm actually fairly shocked by the amount of people not jumping on this one. All year I hear how people would jump all over MBWs if only they were openly available and cheaper. Today, they're both and the silence is deafening. If I'd not just got two already, I'd be all over this. Say, can you get non-Rolex MBWs, like the AP Wossname Thingy Offshore?
  7. On some watches, by which I mean the IWC Perpetual Calendar, I believe if you set your calendar badly and overshoot, you need to take it in to IWC to set it back. A winder isn't just a nicety for them, it's a necessity. Some places that sell perpetual calendars only sell them with winders.
  8. It's now Chinese New Year. Most of our far-eastern dealers are shut down for two weeks.
  9. Can you even get those in the UK? (hint: No, although Nissan is planning on releasing them in the UK in 2008)
  10. 1ATM is 10M underwater. 10ATM is 100M underwater, unless it's a Citizen, who are the only nutters to use the 1ATM is sea-level measurement. Here's Seiko's depth chart
  11. Sheesh, go for some class! Go for an NSU! It's got a Wankery Rotal engine and runs off a rubber belt. Four doors and look how sporty it looks in red! Car of the Year in 1968, it was. Car of the Year.
  12. Excellent and honest review.
  13. Yup, you need to be a member.
  14. It's a WMD, according to the US. It's used as a starter to increase yield in Fission bombs (although Lithium is debatably better) and importing it will get you a spell in Gitmo.
  15. Any time. If only everyone would follow our example.
  16. The only time you need a watch winder is when you spend a small fortune on a Perpetual Calendar, as you only ever want to set them once. Apart from that, you don't need a winder. I don't have a winder, for instance.
  17. This is why I don't post in this thread.
  18. No replica will have tritium in it as it counts as a WMD in large enough quantities to use it industrially. It's a starter for fission bombs to obtain higher yields. If you're looking for a cheap automatic watch with Tritium, then you should look no further than the SUG Nautilus. Epoch over on RWI sells them cheap. Here's mine:
  19. True. Every minute spent looking at crappy watches in Patpong is a minute you could be spending looking at boobies.
  20. I stopped! It was them!
  21. I can vouch for this. The Thailand part, not the Colin Farrell part, that is. After another dealer showing you his best wares, with the GMT Master II with the uni-directional bezel and the awful faux-faux-chronos on the Breitling Tourbillon, and another crappy, crappy cross between a deep one and an aquatimer that looks nothing like the picture in his catalogue you pointed at. Oh, and Panerais with crown guards so thin you'll cut yourself, often. The fun wears off fairly quickly, and I found myself turning to bargain-hunting a Seiko diver and ogling gens in the fancy shops instead. However, sure, get an MBW-alike, but don't imagine you'll get loads of bargains everywhere.
  22. You could also look at those from Silix. My GMT-II, while being a fantasy colour scheme, is excellent:
  23. where's finepics plz! Good luck, see you in 4 days.
  24. One day, when you finally hit a ball, you'll understand what the jolt of impact feels like. That's what can cause problems. Still, Tiger wears a TAG in adverts, right?
  25. I think I feel too light. I need some ballast. I think I'd better wear ... Il Mostro di Firenze!
