  2. Damn, it's sweet.
  3. I believe the TAG Link Chrono is one of the most accurate, more so than the Inge. The IWC GST is always believed to be highly accurate, but it really needs a dial swap to take it that few millimetres closer. I wonder how accurate the IWC Flieger Chrono is ...
  4. Made of the wrong metal! How more inaccurate can you get?
  5. That's because the genuine has a lower beat rate. The Co-Axial escapement saps more power than a regular one, so they lowered the beat-rate to 25,200vph to increase the power reserve.
  6. This is why you use double-sided tape.
  7. damnit, I bought more tickets. I must want this 183 ...

    Wow !

Don't call us, we'll call you.
  9. Crown - the thing you use to set the time. You need to make sure that's as open as possible otherwise the water vapour has nowhere to go and will just rust the movement up. What watch is it?

    Wow !

I hope your mother still loves you, because no-one here does.
  11. It looks like that time has come.
  12. carefully, and with the proper tools.
  13. You need to have the crown open if you're attempting this type of fix. Even then, this isn't likely to work, I'm afraid. Unfortunately, Reps aren't sold as water-resistant.
  14. I'm nowhere near the speeds I used to be, but it's frightening how easily one remembers the co-ordination.
  15. It's been a while since I've twirled a pair of chucks. You've inspired me to dig my old sticks out and give it a go. No video, though.
  16. My laptop syncs with real time, so if I have the time, I'll hack my watch to the right time. I recently set the clock to show seconds on the menubar just for this reason.
  17. I use Azureus too, as I'm running OSX. Look in the bottom-right corner and you'll see the bandwidth being used. Click on it and you can limit the up and down speeds, meaning you can throttle the upload to a sensible amount that'll let you use the internets without pain I have 4 methods: 1: Transfer to my FreeBox HD. 2: Burn to DVD-RW as AVI and play on my DivX/DVD player 3: Convert to iPod format and watch on TV via the dock 4: Plug my MacBook into the telly and use VLC. A DivX/DVD player is about 35-50 euros.
  18. You need to get it in a flat spin where the force of the spin keeps the sticks pointing away from each other. It will roll around your hand like a stick, but if the chain is too long, it will end up in the wrong place. You need the chain to be set to your hand. To learn the hand-spin, the easiest method is to start with the ice-pick grip (chain hanging from the other end of the hand to the thumb) and start some nice reverse-grip figure eights. Nice and smooth. Then just release the stick, slow your hand and watch the loose stick come round. Grab it between the meat of your thumb and palm and keep it flowing. Once you've got that, you'll have a feeling for how to flat-spin the sticks in the ice-pick grip. Then, you can move to the much harder foil-grip (standard position). Good luck and practice with plastic if possible as this can go horribly wrong.
  19. I live in France so my choice is BitTorrent or French TV. Seriously, it's not a hard choice.
  20. If they make an accurate one, it'll be huge. I tried a gen on and it shocked me by just how huge it is. It made the baby jesus cry. ps. Anyone watching Studio 60 can see one on Simon Stiles's wrist every week.
  21. The Flybacks fail for me. They don't have the same functions as the genuine. It's almost the same as Faux Chronos to me.
  22. Good for you. Go with your heart. You'll be impressed when it arrives.
  23. Sounds like you're infected with Spyware or something, or you're blocking something with an over-zealous adblock.
  24. Yeah, I dabbled a little in my youth.
