  1. Waterproofing. Like a washer in a tap. Metal to metal can have small gaps if the sides are not 100% flush, so you put a compressible rubber ring between them and you get watertight.
  2. There is no mule system for trafficking our replicas. You get it directly from a dealer who ships it using the good old postal system. You buy a watch from far-east dealers who are one distributor, usually chinese, away from chinese counterfeiters. Every step of the chain is chinese, or thai, or taiwanese. At what point is China involved with terrorism against the US? If you really want to stop funding Terrorism, use less gas.
  3. 'Because the monster was assembled from pieces of many different dead bodies, the phrase "Frankenstein" has entered the lexicon as a slang term for anything assembled haphazardly from originally disparate elements. Especially if those parts were previously discarded by others, for example, a car built from parts salvaged from many other cars. Similarly, for many years Eddie van Halen played a guitar built in such a manner which he called the "Frankenstrat".' - Frankenstein in popular culture
  4. http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showforum=2 There are two posts at the top, called "Edge's Guide". They will not only answer this question, but many many more.
  5. I've gone into detail before, and yes, I have some samples.
  6. So, this one here will be wrong?
  7. You implied it, whereas I wanted unambiguous confirmation. I wonder if we'll see a flurry of movement trades now.
  8. This sounds like the experience would be the same, regardless of the brand.
  9. Yes they do. These look genuine to me, I'm afraid. I'm not saying that the watches you recieve will be, but the pics look it. The Daytona, for instance, has the subdials in the right place.
  10. I really, really hope France beat Spain, as the longer Football Fever carries on in my office, the longer I get to shout my support for England without it seeming like gloating. Oh, and Ghana provided us with one of the best games, against the Czech team, and I love seeing underdogs bite. Looks like we're cheering the same teams, so I'll wear my Seamaster, too.
  11. In that case, I'll add two nice pics, in case the nicer pic gets lost in history. Here's the link to the dealer review.
  12. If these are 2846 ETA movements, doesn't this mean they may be better for Co-axial reps and vintage reps?
  13. For those that saw this pictorial, you may know I was not happy with the pictures and therefore said I'd reshoot them. Well, here you are: Just one picture, and it says everything. click for larger version
  14. Dr Frankenstein made a 'monster' out of parts of corpses.
  15. Well, I'm English, so ... no. I did, however, work for a photographer of naked girls. Does that count as Parisian enough?
  16. Yes, but in a window while doing other stuff. It was a physical game and crossed the line to a violent game more often than not from the Croats, but not exclusively. It makes me enthusiastic about the match tonight as the Aussies won't be intimidated by the Cheatalians. By the way, anyone just wanting to watch the goals later can use this site: http://www.11football.com/coupedumonde2006
  17. I'd be careful basing depth-based measurements on photographs. If everything isn't on the same plane, the focal length/foreshortening can cause optical illusions.
  18. Yes, Maidenhead. I worked for a games (not computer) company there.
  19. I had the decency to download, via the magic of bittorrent, the Aussie match afterwards.
  20. Have fun, and good luck.
  21. I'm considering it, yes. At first, I'll let it run and see if it annoys me.
  22. Well, he used to be my neighbour in England, so I'm glad for him to be on our team. Can you tell what it is yet?
