  1. When has Australia done that? Have you been watching the same World Cup as me? I'd like a bit of a physical game as Italy need their clock cleaning.
  2. I'm glad you say that as I've got a Moon Watch on the way.
  3. (Harris) Ardmore & Beechwood Ltd / EMI (P) 1963 Arr. Johnnie Spence - Produced by George Martin [spoken:] There's an old Australian stockman, lying, dying, and he gets himself up on one elbow, and he turns to his mates, who are gathered 'round him and he says: Watch me wallabys feed mate. Watch me wallabys feed. They're a dangerous breed mate. So watch me wallabys feed. Altogether now! Tie me kangaroo down sport, tie me kangaroo down. Tie me kangaroo down sport, tie me kangaroo down. Keep me cockatoo cool, Curl, keep me cockatoo cool. Don't go acting the fool, Curl, just keep me cockatoo cool. Altogether now! Take me koala back, Jack, take me koala back. He lives somewhere out on the track, Mac, so take me koala back. Altogether now! Let me Abos go loose, Lou, * let me Abos go loose. They're of no further use, Lou, so let me Abos go loose. Altogether now! Mind me platypus duck, Bill, mind me platypus duck. Don't let him go running amok, Bill, mind me platypus duck. Altogether now! Play your digeridoo, Blue, play your digeridoo. Keep playing 'til I shoot thro' Blue, play your digerydoo. Altogether now! Tan me hide when I'm dead, Fred, tan me hide when I'm dead. So we tanned his hide when he died Clyde, (Spoken) And that's it hanging on the shed. Altogether now! © 1960 Castle Music Pty, Ltd. Words and music by Rolf Harris
  4. I just think he should have thought it through and at least asked his fellow shoppers their advice before pulling the plug. Hopefully, if any good is to come of this, it will be that customers like myself will think it through before charging back paypal. As always, Neil, you're being a gentleman about this when you'd be in your rights to be ... a bit mean. Good luck with resolving this silly issue. Bring back the Buy Now buttons!
  5. Bugger. I hope you're sorted soon. Chargeback Kid, I hope you know what you've done and try to rectify the situation. Man up and fess up.
  6. I'd like Australia to win, but both teams appear to be prone to a little bit of violent cheating this year so we may end up with a bloodbath like Holland/Portuland.
  7. Wait until I redo the pics. It'll be prettier then.
  8. Of what? We're playing them on Saturday.
  9. Portuland won with only 9 players.
  10. Rubbish game, but hey ... we won, and Beckham got that goal monkey off his back. Three World Cups, Three Goals.
  11. You're a newb. Asian or ETA, them 7750s are amazing at wobbling. I was full of glee when my asian 7750 watch felt that wobbly on my wrist. It's fun and it reminds you it's a cool watch. ps. Not that daft a question, to be honest.
  12. Hey Trusty, I'd like ... a 111h with a working Swan Neck and no cannon pinion issues. A perfect 111h without a strap, as no-one spending perfect money will use the stock strap.
  13. ... because the people who make the movements are not making replicas. The factories are probably too visible to risk?
  14. No, they're not excellent. I'll do you some excellent pics tomor...oh, no England playing and I'm off to the British Embassy in Paris to watch the match. Monday?
  15. Ah, once more with the outsourcing. There are three ways to get pics on here. Check your free webspace you get with your internet connection. It's what I do and allows the finest control over the quality of your pics. Use one of the many, many free image sharing services, like imageshack etc., which will reduce the quality as they re-compress jpegs. The worst solution is attaching images using the "Choose File" button on the post/reply pages. This gives you a thumbnail you have to click on to see, and takes up space on the server. Regardless of whichever method you choose, please, please, please remember to resize your image before posting it. No-one needs a picture larger than 640px wide. If you feel you really need a bigger pic, link to it.
  16. ... or putting one where there shouldn't be one, like 70's or CD's. My personal pet hate is "loose" for "lose". ps. Welcome None. Enjoy your stay.
  17. Welcome to the club. My GMT is out of commission for the same reason.
  18. The people who make the movements aren't making replicas, they're making movements. To stamp ETA on it, you'd need to disassemble the whole movement, stamp it and put it back together. Why bother?
  19. Like I said over on The Dark Side, I really like that pic. It's great composition and colour. I'd call it "My Little Ponerai".
  20. Ok, honesty time. I'm looking at the pics today and there are a couple of good ones, but I really think I screwed up the lighting on most of them. The non-tent one (2nd pic: the close up on the face with the reflection and the waves) is the best of the lot. In my eagerness to share, I posted a bunch of flat, average pics, and that won't do. I'll re-shoot this one, folks. You deserve better and the watch deserves a lot better.
  21. Now it's saturday, I'm wearing this:
  22. ... apart from Seiko. I'd chime in here and say I agree that the Co-axial Omega is an excellent choice . Wait for the coaxial SMP and jump all over that one, or get a Planet Ocean. If it were me, though, I'd hunt down a gen IWC GST Chrono or a Moon Watch.
  23. Edit. See this post before 'admiring' the pics. This watch costs $108. Let me say that again: This watch costs $108. It's an Asian movement with a GMT hand that does the do in 24 hours, and so far it seems to keep time, but I've not synched it or anything yet. It is unusual in cheap Omega reps in so far as it came with two half-links on the bracelet, which makes it the first Omega I've been able to size and wear. There's not a lot to say, so I'll get on with the pictures. Trusty has it for sale here. Comments appreciated.
