  7. If it was a gen then thst would not be a bad estimate, a 5517 recently sold for $65000 in the UK
  8. You are generaly looking for non chronos at 3 or 4 automatic movements Asian 21j based on thre miyota, this can be a good movement and last for years and is generaly cheep to replace ETA 2824/36 movements, very dependable and reliable but oftern surplus stock or older movements but can be new, to be on the safe side if it was keeper then i would get it serviced Asian clones of the ETA movements above, some particuualy the seagul versions have a good reputation and on the whole i would be happy with these in Reps but they would generaly benifit from a service also, it has been known that people have orderd gen ETA but got clones so be carfull to get what you pay for. Seagull auto movements, These are used in alot of panerai and Chopard with power reserve and other complications, these suffer fom a noisy rotor but apart fom that i have not heard of a lot of problems. Chronos you are realy stuck with the A7750 which is no bad thing after a service there are generaly 3 versions to look out for with out other complications The older A7750 with a fine regualtor that does not work, beating at 21600bph and the hand sizes as the swiss 7750 Newer A7750 beating at 28800 bph missing the fine regulator but wont take gen swiss hands with out modding the hands Even newer A7750s with the fine regulator that still doesent work but looks better, same problem with the hands All are good movements but require a service but there are limited people that will work on these. New movements can be bought from cousins UK for less than
  9. Three men met at a party, and it wasn't long until the conversation got around to their line of work and what kind of cars they drove. "I own a sign company," the first man said. "So naturally, I have a purple Neon." The other two men nodded. "I'm a veterinarian," said the second fellow. "I have a white `Vet." The third guy was quiet for a minute. "Well," he finally said, "I'm a proctologist. I have a brown Probe."
  10. I love the look of the black an gold, but i am not sure i could wear it though
  11. Freddy thanks i am going to print out the picard one i think that is great, as are the rest but still looking for a white 1680 if any one finds one
  12. Has any one got any good quality scans of vintage adverts, i have collected a few but the are pretty crap quality and i want one i a print out at A4 for my display shelf
  13. well you would need to source dial movement and hands in order to do that, so it may be worth just getting a new ETA based rep
  14. The A 21 can be a reliable movement but the ETA, clones or swiss are far more repairable an serviceable and have a better sweep on the seconds hand, also the available upgrades like hands you may want to do are easyer with ETA hand sizes
  15. I returned a Poljot years ago with Royal mail international signed for, watch never got there apparently and RM said it was not there problem as it says in the small print that once it leaves UK borderes they dont garentee it, so why the Fcuk do they offer the service though! It put me off sending to russia though
