  1. It still is nothing then impertinent and dishonest to claim that his case set is 1:1. Neither crown position nor lug shape are anything near the genuine Sea-Dweller. The bracelet is just crap. Wrong markings, bad end link fitment, wrong end link shape. Any seller advertising this [censored] as 1:1 is more than just slightly shady. This is the worst rolex rep for years in my opinion!
  2. Insert is OK, pearl is the usual rep [censored]. Crown is good but still flawed. Clasp is the best rep clasp I've ever held in my hands. The stamping on the folding parts is on par with the gen, the coronet stamping on the outer clasp is even better executed than on a gen clasp I have on a 93150. The bracelet is very nice but the end links suffer from a careless to reckless finishing. They are too much brushed, rounded on the edges and taper down from 20.1mm to 19.9 mm leaving a very obvious uneven gap on both sides of the end links. In addition they are too long and protrude over the lug tips.
  3. The SA3135 fitted without any work. Just drop it in and tighten the screws, that's it. The crystal on Sean's case is way too thick and it is not as clear as it should be. It just does not look correct. If one's on a budget I'd recommend a Clark's crystal or maybe a TW Best V1 crystal as they are not that bad too.
  4. Bezel insert, crystal, hands, dial, date wheel, crown, tube, spring bars and all gaskets are genuine. The SA3135 dial does not need superluming. It can easily compare with the genuine dial in terms of brightness and durability. Remember, the gen uses C1 which is not nearly as bright as the C3 on Omegas.
  5. Neither genuine nor ETA. I bought one of Angus (Puretime) SA3135 Submariners as a donor for movement which runs great by the way... This is how it would look like with a noob end link ground down to 20.17mm. Had to shave off roughly 5/100 mm of the noob end link which took only a couple of minutes. That would already be a very acceptable result for my own end link project (the fit of the end links, not the end link itself...).
  6. The Smart really is impressive. Even I (6'4.5") have still some room left to the back in the seat adjustment...
  7. To me the situation seems to be quite different. I have a 6.75" wrist and the biggest wrist I know is roughly 7.5". I've never seen someone having problems with the regular Panerai strap size.
  8. Now on to your End Link project please Want to see if I have to continue with my project
  9. Most probably yes. The end links are designed for a mid case with 5mm thickness.
  10. What do you mean by stamped? The internal markings that are not visible when the bracelet is mounted to a watch? Most likely I will ask for engraving somer utter [censored] somewhere where it is not visible when mounted to a watch to make clear that it is not a genuine part. I do not want to deliver to those using rep parts to scam others...
  11. Stay with the "serviced" theme. Mixing vintage and service parts always looks like something is missing.
  12. Who polished it and why? Looks terrible!?
  13. Order button will follow later. As soon as I have fixed everything with my suppliers and the prototype looked good I will open a pre-order thread in the sales section. A link will follow in this thread.
  14. I think so, too. 20.2mm leaves enough material to custom fit it to one's specific case and is not too much to be ground off manually within half an hour for both end links.
  15. Very cool I myself have never understood why people are so crazy about patina on their watches. I'd always prefer a nicely serviced, minty look. Your project v2 will likely be the perfect 1675 for me
  16. My end link design is currently 20.2mm wide so that there is some material to be ground off to achieve a perfect fit.
  17. No no! TC and I do not work together on this. I am just finishing drawings to send them to some potential manufacturers. As soon as I have quotes one or two pairs will be made as samples and if they look good I'll get a few for you.
  18. WM9 V1: GMT IIc: Genuine Datejust 16038 18k Gold: Of course I mess them but they all had their flaws. Too low crown position and not really 1:1 bracelet on the WM9 V1, wrong hand stack and bad rehaut engraving on the GMT Iic, bad condition of the bracelet on the Datejust and in addition a very good offer... I'll get them again but not exactly the same watches. My Sean cased submariners is getting better and better and with some better end links it will be my perfect sub. As sean already promised a SA3185 GMT movement is in the works which will be a nice base for a GMT and the Datejust will be replaced with a genuine 18038 or 18238 Day Date one day.
  19. Just got my QC pics and tracking number Hope it arrives soon.. Will most probably take some time as it takes the UK detour to me.
  20. loveley gmt! I like the combination of an oyster bracelet with the fluted bezel a lot. A little more sporty yet still very classy.
  21. End link is now slightly shorter in the middle section (0.2mm), top radius and bottom radius decreased. It now has the same thickness and length in outer and middle section as the genuine article (had the opportunity to take some measurements just a few minutes ago). In addition it got a little cosmetical tweak by thinning the lower tips that go into the case notch. As Tribal said the rounded portion of the middle link came down a lot now. What do you think?
