  1. Yeah, I knew it all along . . .
  2. It's all a red herring . . . I think . . .
  3. I'm seriously laughing out loud!! Yeah, I know . . . she's got her rough moments, though to be fair, make-up doesn't wear well under Nomex. A friend of mine is a pro photographer and shoots on all the racing circuits. He's had a couple of sessions with her and described her as rather cold. Still, I think she's generally easy on the eyes and she's a gutsy driver. She cleans up well between races:
  4. Enjoy the silence . . .
  5. Nice work!! May we see a reference image of the particular watch you are building? Thanks!!
  6. It sure does look like improved CDG finishing with the "functional" version of the swan neck. Looks nice.
  7. I wondered the same thing . . . not that I have a 6536, but it did catch my eye browing the bay . . .
  8. Wow, beautiful!!! Nice, nice, nice!!!!!!
  9. Any updates? I emailed Joe a few days ago, but nothing. He must be really sick. That sucks to go on vacation and get sick. The same thing happened to me in California this past spring.
  10. Yeah, Neils Arktos I think is the best one right now. The bezel markers are nice and wide, like gen. Crown looks decent also. The date is the downer. But, I'm wondering if the dual magnifying lens idea used on the 222 could be used on the Arktos also, or any of the date Pams. I really like the high mag of the 222 date, though it is slightly dark due to the light having to pass through the two magnifying glass elements. I wonder if those little magnifying elements tucked into the date aperture of the 222 can be sourced as a separate part for upgrading date pams. It might be an easier mod than replacing the existing cyclops. Just a thought.
  11. I like it, really. I just don't like the HUGE "Rolex" script on the dial. Ok, and maybe the crystal could be a bit shorter . . . a bit. That's a bit too superdome for me. Speaking of superdome . . .
  12. Very nice. I want to get the baseball strap too. Btw, nice crown, lume . . . and, maybe you got the canon pin fixed too?
  13. "What about us spottted lizards?"
  14. Crap. Woke up this morning and found the movement stopped at 6am. Everything was working great when I went to bed. Hmmm.
  15. My brother got his super modded 188 and offered to sell me his 212. So here it is next to the 222 that I received from Richard Tracy. I like this 212 in particular because it has the polished pushers. I'm also impressed with how accurate the 222 is to gen. The dial is simply gorgeous. Lume is generous. I just need a thicker crown. I had to take the 222 apart earlier to fix a misaligned power reserve hand and re-align the hour hand so that the date change would occur at 12. Speaking of date, I was surprised to see TWO magnfiying lenses contributing to provide a highly magnified date. One lens is embedded in the date aperture in the dial. And, the other lens is on the crystal. After putting it all together, I had to take it all apart again to remove a speck of dust on the dial. I'll post pics later of that procedure. 212 & 222
  16. I am selling one HERE. Feel free to PM me.
  17. Wow, that is cool. Nice pick up.
  18. I said the same thing to my brother earlier today. I love that watch!
  19. M, I would love to buy that if you decide to sell it.
  20. Oh, duh. Just read. They're gen. Very nice. So, where did you buy them?
  21. Where did you buy those screws? Very nice.
  22. Undivided attention . . . . . . I can't wait for the pics!!
  23. Nice, let's see pics of your new gen!!!!
