  1. If its a replica of a listing on Ioffer than no, its not a very good replica.
  2. Being a rolex fan, I have several models with different dial, variations, versions, etc. I have also been in the same boat as you and am currently pondering the same idea. I have a yachtmaster that stopped working. I love the watch and would like one of the updated models, maybe from WM9. Two things I am having trouble with are: 1. Can't see myself buying the same version as there are others that are more accurate now, 2. Can't justify spending 3 times what the original watch cost on the same model, 3. there are so many other new watches I want to buy but I really like the yachtie. I think there are several models that will always be in my collection, whether i lose them, break them and have to replace them. That is one of the perks of collecting reps. It is much easier to replace a $300 watch than a $6,000 watch. My advice for you would be to figure out which models will get the most wrist time and have one or two core pieces that you can't live without. Then try out some of the new models. I have to say the quality of some of the new watches like AP and UN are absolutely amazing.
  3. I guess if I ere to ever wear a Casio G shock, that would be the way to go. I can't understand spending $5k on a $20.00 watch though.......
  4. What genius thought this up? And I thought I had seen everything, until now.
  5. That's totally different. Really it is......
  6. Looks pretty good for a $100 watch. This pricing is pretty much standard for retailers who sell reps in the US. On Canal ST in NYC you can find some good stuff, but you ill ay a high price. Retail has much more overhead to cover, plus seizures from the cops. The online dealers make small profits with no overhead and lots of volume. Still, that is much better than the HBB I bought in NYC a couple years ago.
  7. To make it even more confusing, didn't they also update the bezel and clasp with better, more crisp engavings on one version? I know there was a thread about this a while back. So one question is left, Who has the best BCE?
  8. Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and say........ No, I wouldn't order from a business called too-too mart. And please stop yelling........
  9. Nice pics and nice watch. Excuse my ignorance, but by full ceramic do you mean the case is ceramic as well? I remember seeing these in gold colored ceramic cases and wondered how it compared to real gold and gold plated. If it is ceramic the gold will never fade, right?
  10. If they are lab made diamonds, why is it so much money?
  11. Good trade for sure, but the dial on the TT sub looks a bit purple. May not be 100% gen? Hope it's just the lighting.
  12. Wow, jail for no proof of insurance. That's harsh. You can get caught driving in florida with no license, no insurance, an open beer and a bag of weed and go home with a ticket............... Or so I've heard..
  13. It is also a template website.
  14. Very funny.....
  15. I have one of the first generation with the thiner case after they fixed the subdial rings to be thinner like gen (the first ones had fat ugly rings aroundthe subdials.) This one is still running strong, keeping good time after 5 years or more. Two others with the fat case in two tone work when they want to. Usually run for a couple hours and then stop. This problem happened within a couple weeks of the purchases. I would still like a reliable, thin case two tone version.
  16. Nice watch, however NOT a real tourbillon. The "tourbillon" is just the balance wheel showing through the dial. The genuine tourbillon version of this replica is available for about $600.
  17. Only one watch for my girls........ Rolex Masterpiece. Very well made rep and I have the mens' already.
  18. Funny story. It's not every day that someone with a vintage Rolex has access to a geiger counter.
  19. The gold plating nowadays is pretty good. I have several gold watches and they look good after several years, athough I don't wear them daily. Keep in mind no replica is an heirloom watch. If it wears out buy another one.
  20. Yes it is a bad rep of a tag kirium. Actually, the cheap non chrono Kirium reps were pretty god back in the day.
  21. First of all, droooooool....Swing, giggity giggity I have wanted one of these for a loooooong time. I have asked just about every dealer for an AP or a breitling replica iced like this. They all claim it dosen't exist. Eurotimez had one on a leather strap for $1,000, but the blue dial stick marker version and no iced bracelet. If this guy is for real it is possible he had the rep custom set with CZ's or the jeweler made a one off and sold it to him. It is not unheard of for jewelers to charge $5 per stone for setting weather they are diamonds or fakes. This could very well have over 1,000 stones so $5,500 may be right although I would never pay that for a rep. The most I have spent on a rep is $2,300 and that was solid gold.
  22. Looks good to me. I think the 42mm would be too small.
  23. No that is not the double eagle. It is the original conni chrono from the 80's or 90's. I had one of these a while ago as well as the rep. I can tell you the big difference was the bracelet and overall feel. The gen has a nice smooth fluid bracelet and the watch although small in size has a very sturdy solid feel to it. The rep doesn't compare in this area. With that said, the subdials should me much larger and closer together. Also the date should be inside of the 6'oclock sub dial. I would say it is fake because I have never seen this configuration.
  24. I don't recall seeing a square RD rep, but they di have a pretty accurate Franck Mueller rep that is very similiar to that watch. All of the dealers carry it.
  25. www.doubleredseadweller.com is a good reference.
