  1. I can try but the differences would be very hard to photograph. Picture a few specs of gold dust floating in a drop of water. That's what it looks like.
  2. I just got a gold acid test kit off of ebay and have been messing around with it. I bought it because I am always buying estate jewelry and going to flea markets. I decided to test my two tone daytona from Paul. I took out a link scraped it on the stone and put the 14K acid on the sample. The color changed a little dark and the sample started to fade. Interesting because there was still gold metallic color in the acid. So I tested another scratch with 10K acid and it floated to the top and got a lot brighter gold metallic color. My estimation from what I have read about these tests is that the gold is actually solid 12K. I know they claim 14K or 18K, but this is definately solid gold. I tested one of the pushers which are a different color and it turned silver. The pushers and crown are a different color than the links, but I am guessing the are also solid gold of a much lower karat by the way the acid reacted. I also tested some known gold plated objects to see how they reacted and had a totally different result. The scratches turned silver and faded away. Very interesting to know. I am surprised noone has done this before. These kits aren't expensive and are more accurate than even dumping a link into a cup of sulfuric acid. Brass will react the same way as gold in a cup of acid showing gold through and through but the scratch test doesn't lie. If anyone wants something tested I would be happy to do it at no charge (as any pawn shop would as well). This is actually a lot of fun using these acids. If any dealers want to claim solid gold send me a sample and I will post the results on the board. I just wish there were more solid gold watches available.
  3. Tequila and me don't mix. Ask the local Sheriff's office.
  4. That is great. Matches the interior of my cadillac. Very good idea. You are one great daddy!!! I'll bet there is a market for this design.
  5. Looks like Paul has one with ETA 2671 movement and correct dial printing and case back which is rare. The hands appear correct as well but there is no price. Maybe it is coming soon? And king has a nice one with the newer style dial and gold hands along with automatic printing. I'm sure either one is available in SS as well.
  6. Obviously a man of good taste. Welcome aboard and watch your wallet. These watches are like pringles. You can't have just one.....................
  7. The materials in replica and even genuine watches are the least expensive cost in the manufacturing process. So to answer your question, yes and no. When you get into the higher grade replicas like we have here there si a smaller market. There is a bigger profit for the sellers but less volume. The materials are better and many have ETA movements which cost about $30 to $40 and up. Some have true 316L steel which is more expensive and the machines and engineering that go into manufacturing the higher quality more accurate replicas are very costly. Combine that with customs losses and dealer markup you easily get to $200 to $300. There are still many replicas that can be bought in the us for $15 to $50. That example they have is crap.
  8. Bablefish doesn't work quite as well as they planned, huh? Anyway, I doubt they will make that one. No use for it.
  9. I am wearing my old two tone double eagle and a little extra bling.........
  10. Wore this today and felt like snapping some pics in the office. I really have too much time on my hands This is by far my favorite Omega. This is also IMO the best Omega replica ever made. I know I'll get some comments on that statement, but the understated siplicity and elegance of this watch makes it extremely versatile. I feel comfortable with this and shorts or a dress shirt. The simple style also makes it easy to replicate and this is a very well made watch. The gold mid links are actually real gold (bought from Paul about 3 years ago) and it is a heavy solid piece. I saw today that they have a new release of this watch. I hope it is as good as this first version. Enjoy.
  11. I have been a Goose drinker for a while, but recently I was at a bar and they were out. I tried Kettle one and like it even better than the Goose. I think it is much smoother. I was out last week with a group of girls and one of them orders a strawberry spritzer. Strawberry stoli and sprite yech . That's what the 22 year olds are drinking nowadays. I like a woman who can throw back a shot of Patron. BTW, why has noone mentioned the fact that Donald Trump doesn't drink? Ironic, no?
  12. Everything comes in waves. One minute there is nothing to talk about and the next you have 3 ultimate super perfect genuine swiss clone replicas. This is the way it has been for years and will continue to be. "just when i think I'm out, they pull me back in"...................
  13. Glad I live in South Florida. Short sleeves for me every day!!! BTW, that looks totaly gay (not that there's anything wrong with that). I would imagine this guy would be an easy mark for someone to swipe that atch off of his errrr, wrist?
  14. Both the same watch. Neither dealer has any idea how thick the plating is. They know what the factory tells them or what they guess. There is no way to tell for sure. It looks very good though.
  15. I name each of my watches. I try to associate each watch with a girlfriend. I make sure to wear the watch with the name of the girl I am seeing that night. This way if I forget which one I am with I can look at my wrist and say "oh yeah your name is christina". Exactomundo.............
  16. Just got mine in TT monday. Check out the review here: TT EVO Review I love the watch. Very high quality piece. As for the gold wearing off, I have had many full gold and TT reps and have seen with the high quality ones like this the gold won't wear off anytime soon. As for the thicker plating, you could always ask. BTW, I got mine from Epoch (thewatchprince) and he is great!!!
  17. I agree 100% with the Seiko for a gift. It is a great watch, reliable waterproof and serviceable. I would not buy a rep as a gift unless someone asks for one. When it breaks or leaks you will look like a schmuck. I would however go for the black dial version of the monster. Much more wearable and appealing.
  18. Do they make one for a cat? My cat is wierd. But she's a girl. Maybe a fildo for her?
  19. I have seen the gen big bang and I can tell you it looks smaller than a 44mm pam. It sits on the wrist much better. The crown guards and lugs on the pam make it wear much larger. The 44mm daylight I have dwarfs my 43mm EVO. Go figure. I have never measured a case with calipers but I would swear the daylight is much larger than 44mm. If you can wear a Pam I think you'll be safe with the big bang. BTW, if you choose the RG or ceramic carbon dial version and you decide you don't want it let me know. I will be happy to take it off your hand at a discount since I haven't bought one yet.
  20. Yes perfect timing to implement a great new [censored] feature.
  21. I have been notified by our esteemed admin that today is my one year anniversary with RWG!!! Many of you know I have been around for quite a bit longer than that on the other boards but I am happy to be here and hope I can continue to be a contributing member. Thanks to everyone that continues to make this my favorite place online to visit and the best way to kill time at the office. Oh and I can't forget I am forever grateful for the awesome watches I have acquired. Especially me new EVO!!!
  22. Will they ban carpet muncher or one eyed trouser snake? your wish is my command.............
  23. Well if it is censorship then cocksucker should definatley be added IMO.
  24. There it goes again. Do you see it? If it is something to block bad words fan ny isn't a bad word, but [censored] is. However I would still like to see the words [censored], [censored], cocksucker and [censored] as it is my choice to read these disusting words and would rather not be censored. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
  25. I posted the name [censored] as a reply to someone asking about bestswiss and it came out [censored]. Is this new software? Is it my settings? Is there a dictionary of censored words now? What the [censored]?
