I doubt that either of the subs are actually solid gold. Probably thick plating. The insert in the yacht is probably just stainless steel like the rest of the watch and not platinum. It is very unlikely that both watches have the same problem at the same time with the date not changing. It might just be that they wereb't wound enough to execute the date change since they have been sitting in the drawer. Try winding the crowns manually 40 or 50 times, shake them up really good and let them sit for a couple of days. BTW, ETA doesn't make a 27 jewel movement either. If they are ETA, they are 25 jewel.

I think that a replica of a one million dollar watch is more appreciated than a replica of a $4,000 watch. Any watch over $20,000 is more unatainable by most people. The yachtmaster Rolesium is all SS except for the dial and bezel which are both platinum. The white dial never came on a SS yacht or any SS Rolex for that matter besides the datejust, daytona and explorer II.

I have been a long time supporter of TRC, but i now spend just as much time here (if not more) as I do there. So i have finally gone ahead and "pulled the trigger" (don't you hate when people say that?) LOL and upgraded my membership. It looks like this is the place to be. If some of you with sensitive skin are having allergic reactions to SS reps something is wrong. I see advertised 316L Stainless steel on a lot of reps. If a watch is truly 316L you shouldn't have any reaction. This is surgical quality steel. I have had reactions before to very cheap waqtches that were brass coated with steel. My mom has very sensitive skin and she wears a SS pearlmaster with no affects. Try wearing only 316 SS and see if that helps.

I don't know if this will make you feel any better, but I paid off my Mitsubishi Diamante in june $32,000 (probaby $40K with 4 years interest) sticker price. Cancel my collision in july to save money, August get hit from behind at a stoplight and the driver takes off............... I feel for you. A lot of drivers are assholes and have no respect for other peoples property. Especially here in south florida.
