  1. The Rado reps are very good with ceramic and swiss quartz.
  2. This was on the front page of the Lifestyle section of today's sun-sentinel. Watch Article Very surprised, they say that bracelet's are out and straps are in. Also rose gold instead of yellow gold, but I am excited about the trend of more bling in watches. maybe we'll see more blinged reps soon. The printed version had some nice pics of iced out daytonas including the infamous I am super rich leopard version, along with some $10K++ "icelink" Jacob & CO lookalikes. maybe these people don't have a clue of what they are talking about.
  3. No, I don't. I guess that makes sense. I almost went cheap when I lost my first pair of Cartier's. Left them at the bar and voila, they dissapeared. I am much more careful now.
  4. I bought a pam 251 on a bracelet (white dial daylight) in the middle of all the pammania. I never really liked Panerai but the white chronograph caught my eye. I love chronos and this one is a monster compared to my daytonas. This is the only pam I own and it gets a lot more wrist time than I though it would. It was one of only two watches I brought with me to Vegas. The other was my TT daytona.
  5. I'm surprised with all these high end watches noone talks about high end eyeglasses. I personally own my second pair of Cartier gold and wood frames, a pair of fred, persol and versace sunglasses all prescription. I look at eyeglasses like watches, I wear them every day so they have to be the best. My previous frames include yves st laurent, cazal, versace, neostyle, and a few others I can't remember. I have tried on some others, but nothing compares with the cartier's IMO.
  6. You beat me to it. Admin?
  7. I had the prescription lenses in my cartier frames AR coated and within a year they got clouded and scratched. They also developed spots that looked as though the coating was wearing off. I recently had new lenses made and the manager told me that AR coating is soft and scratches easily. I bought a new pair of sunglasses and got polarized lenses instead of AR. No more AR on my glasses. Maybe it is better to just get the coating on the inside of the crystal so it is not exposed to the elements.
  8. I have enough watches that I pick the watch to match any outfit I wear.
  9. Waiting for my pastrami on rye to be delivered......... That is what I have planned for dinner. General tsao chicken.
  10. I'm wearing a Rolex........What a surprise
  11. I know i'll be outed for wanting some bling, but how about a good gold yachmaster with a real MOP dial with real stones instead of those plastic inserts that have been around for 5 years. I would also go for any rolex with an accurate black mop dial. Would be nice on a gold daytona, but since the movement is limited it would be easy to do on a gold yachtmaster. Yes I am still looking for a black MOP replica. I would even go for a good 2 tone yacht with the black mop with solid 3 piece end links and a good clasp and bracelet. My other choice would be an accurate pam 140 carbon fiber dial and all....
  12. I remember it was a big deal when we had 50 people online at TRC. How times change.
  13. Wearing this today. Watch and photo courtesy of trusty....
  14. Of course. Caesar's Palace has by far the best Poker Room in all of vegas. Even better than Bellagio IMO. I played in the 2/5 NL and 5/10 NL game when it was available. Some big players there. There was no less than $25,000 at the table most of the time. Lots of drunk idiots at about midnight in the 2/5 game. Bought in for $1,000 and sat and waited did very well. Must sees are Caesar's, Bellagio, and you have to stop downtown at Binions and the Golden Nugget. Played single deck 21 at the Nugget, 2 handed $100 a hand and was treated like a high roller. The only place you will get recognition for playing anything less than $1,000/hand. Don't bother with the outlet malls they are lame. You have to stop into the Flamingo just for the nostalgia. It is what started Vegas. Also the Barbary Coast is an old Casino that has a great band in the lounge when you just want to relax a bit. Wynn is also exquisite and the Poker Room has no table limits. Not bad action. $10K in Vegas is like $100 anywhere else. I had more cash than that on me. No deception, I am a Playa............
  15. I just got back from Sin City, Las Vegas. Had a blast, played a lot of Poker, didn't even check my email for a whole week!! That's right no computer or internet of any kind. I didn't withdraw from watches by any means. I stopped at every watch store I could. Tried on watches in Caesar's, Bellagio, MGM, Venetian, Bally's, some pawn shops in downtown. I got great service wearing my rep 251 and 116523 daytona even (hehe). AD sales people are uninformed, but very nice and accommodating. I even tried on a $60,000 iced out AP RO chrono. I asked about the big sized iced offshore and the sales lady said we just sold it for around $80K. I said too bad, that's the one I wanted. I reccommend everyone should go to Las Vegas at least once. One hell of a town. Gambling, great food, beautiful women and the best shopping in the world!!! Can't wait to go back.
  16. Well, it's [censored] ... that's right, [censored]! [censored] may just be the most functional word in the English language. Consider: You can get [censored]-faced, Be [censored]-out-of-luck, Or have [censored] for brains. With a little effort, you can get your [censored] together, find a place for your [censored], or be asked to [censored] or get off the pot. You can smoke [censored], buy [censored], sell [censored], lose [censored], find [censored], forget [censored], and tell others to eat [censored]. Some people know their [censored], while others can't tell the difference between [censored] and shineola. There are lucky shits, dumb shits, and crazy shits. There is bull [censored], horse [censored], and chicken [censored]. You can throw [censored], sling [censored], catch [censored], shoot the [censored], or duck when the [censored] hits the fan. You can give a [censored] or serve [censored] on a shingle. You can find yourself in deep [censored] or be happier than a pig in [censored]. Some days are colder than [censored], some days are hotter than [censored], and some days are just plain shitty. Some music sounds like [censored], things can look like [censored], and there are times when you feel like [censored]. You can have too much [censored], not enough [censored], the right [censored], the wrong [censored] or a lot of weird [censored]. You can carry [censored], have a mountain of [censored], or find yourself up shits creek without a paddle. Sometimes everything you touch turns to [censored] and other times you fall in a bucket of [censored] and come out smelling like a rose. When you stop to consider all the facts, it's the basic building block of the English language. And remember, once you know your [censored], you don't need to know anything else!! You could pass this along, if you give a [censored]; or not do so if you don't give a [censored]! Well, [censored], it's time for me to go. Just wanted you to know that I do give a [censored] and hope you had a nice day, without a bunch of [censored]. But, if you happened to catch a load of [censored] from some [censored]-head........... .....Well, [censored] Happens!!! ~ J.
  17. Do you even believe his real name is Paul? River, Josh, Ruby, Sean, Andrew all use american names for business with us. It has been happening for years. It is easier for an American do say hello Paul vs. hello Huang. Ever wonder why every convenience store owner in the US is named Sam or Mike? As far as the price thing goes this happens in every business. I bought a pair of Gucci Loafers in Nieman Marcus outlet for $185 minus my 10% discount for using the credit card. One week latr I saw the same exact pair of shoes at Nieman Marcus for $385. This is business and marketing. I just look for the best deal and buy then. Caveat Emptor......
  18. I am not too big of a fan of strap wathes but two that i would like to see done well is the Chronoswiss opus or other gold model done right and the most overlooked watch that would sell if there was a good rep is the Ulysses Nardin. Would be a nice change. I have tried on genuine UN and they are spectacular.
  19. I think the first part of the tutorial says get a camera, not a phone...........
  20. The 111 can look good on a small wrist. The regatta is nice as is a Radiomir..............
  21. This one is more quiet than my asian 7750. Actually they are just about silent.
  22. Snapped these last night after I finished loading up my new watch box. Pity I can't afford a decent camera though LOL.

  24. Happy birthday Admin!!!!
  25. Noone ever tries to smuggle fake watches INTO China. Just like the dogs only sniff you when you RETURN from Jamaica................... I don't think there should be a problem.
