The Most Amount Of Rep Goes To.........
jfreeman420 replied to elprimerozen's topic in General Discussion
I would venture to guess that the majority of them stay in china. The chinese love their brand names and with a poulation of over one billion its easy math. -
The best screwdriver set I have ever bought was from home depot. It is made by stanley and is yellow. The set comes in a yellow case that slides open and shut. The top of the screwdrivers spin to allow for easy screwing in tight places

Guy I used to work for was a big watch collector. The dealer would come to the office once a month and my boss owned many Rolexes, Franck Muller, Panerai, etc. Every year we had our Christmas party on a 200 ft chartered yacht and the boss would wear his black Versace tux and his platinum iced Rolex Masterpiece. He got a great deal at $150,000. I usually wear my iced gold masterpiece (replica) to such functions if anyone is curious.

At second glance it is kind of ugly ain't it? Cmon you know you have bought a watch before only to get it home and say what the hell was I thinking? I do it more often than you would think......................

My very first car was a blue 1985 Nissan pulsar. I only had the car for two weeks and the engine blew. What a bummer. After that I got a white 1989 Ford escort GT. I had fun with the 5 speed. Went through three clutches, four alternators and a bunch of other things that went wrong with that car. What a piece of crap. I did manage to squeeze $4,000 worth of stereo equipment in the hatch back. You could hear me coming from half a mile away!!!

I saw this Piaget on paul's site today. I have always been a fan of Piaget and have my granfather's old Polo which is one of my favorite watches. I even have an old replica polo I keep in the box for display. I haven't been too much into piaget recently since all my watches have been 40mm or better. I love this bling and it is 40mm, but I can't wear a watch without a genuine counterpart. Has anyone seen one of these genuine? Anything close?

My uncle turned me on to this website: Woot! Anybody ever buy from them? They sell one item per day at huge discounts. Cool stuff and hilarious descriptions. Very synical writers.

This is one of the most ignorant threads I have ever read. It is nobody's business or concern how much any dealer makes selling watches. If the average salary in china really is $100 to $150/month (which I doubt) I am glad to contribute to a business that helps families have a better life. I used to sell genuine watches on ebay ranging from $200 to $7,000. I know even if I could make $1,500 on a Rolex DD that a third of that went to overhead. I also was general manager of a company that grossed $14 million in 2004. Our net profit was about 12%. My point is, this type of discussion can easily breed jealousy and resentment in certain people who have no idea what it takes to run a business (and yes selling replica watches is no longer a hobby, but a business and dealers are entitled to make money). There have been quite a few assholes through the years that have tried and succeeded in taking advantage of some of our dealers. However much money they make, good for them. I hope they all live very well. No amount of money could persuade me to be in a business with whiny customers who expect a $200 watch to be on point with its' $6,000 counterpart and have to answer as many questions with that $200 purchase as if they were buying a new house. I applaude you guys. You must really love what you do. I'll keep sending you my money as long as the prices stay fair. It's better than giving it to those rich ass BMW driving girls at the tittie bar.

Just post the pics and be done with it. Assuming you are not thinking of some kind of mass marketing scheme a few of your good pics and description will do. If you are planning some kind of mass marketing scheme, then come up with some original name. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet......................

Has Rolex Taken The "back Seat" In The Rep World?
jfreeman420 replied to By-Tor's topic in The Rolex Area
I have to say I think the Rolex reps are actually getting WORSE!!! I bought one of the first seconds @ six daytonas over a year ago when they first got the dial spacing right. The asian 7750 movement runs smooth and flawlessly to this day. The watch is amazing. Only real flaws are the case width and crown guards. No big deal to me. Now I look at the newer daytonas and the subdials have these thick silver or gold rings that scream fake. I waited forever for a good two tone version and bought a white dial with the new "solid gold" end links and it died in a week. I have the second black dial with diamond markers still running but this version is inferior to my old SS model. First the case is even thicker and the gold dial printin is awful. The gold is good and appears to be solid or heavy wrapped, but because of the thickness it doesn't get as much wrist time as I anticipated. I also just got one of the new two tone blue subs with the solid end links. The dial on this one is about the best I have seen but everything else is horrible. The crown and bezel are dark color and don't even match the band. The bracelet is totally flimsy and the clasp has this big thumbnail shaped dip in the foldover part. The crown on the clasp is also horrible. I have a TT blue sub I bought over three years ago from Wade (some may remember). This has holes in the case, but the crown and bezel are solid gold. The clasp is about perfect and the gold has not worn off the bracelet. There is a tad of tarnish on the endlink (most of these suffered that problem). I bought the new sub with hopes high and thought it would surpass my old daily beater from long ago, but I have been highly dissapointed. I am a die hard Rolex fan, but can't seem to get anything decent latley. I have been purchasing alternatives and my "perfect" yachtmaster does get more wrist time than I thought it would, but I do think we have taken a few steps back when it comes to Rolex. Another new Rolex I have purchased is a gold day date. I have to admit the gold plating is the best I have seen and the dial printing is good. That is where the good part ends. What is supposed to be a rolesor clasp just snaps into place instead of being spring loaded like the first SS version and gen is. Also, it apears to be a tad smaller than the new gen DD. It looks like a datejust case which is 36mm. They need to make a 1:1 DD case at 38mm like the new gen DD. This is another model I waited for for a long time and have been dissapointed I think the dealers need to pay attention to this and remember that Rolex started this whole replica madness. I remember when all we had was swiss rolex and asian vacheron, piaget, cartier, omega and patek along with a few other obscure names that had limited production. I think the average newb still comes here looking for the best sub, but after looking through the forum and reading all the info here other models far exceed what is avaiable in the Rolex brand. -
Well besides that, it also helps get hot women Mostly at the tittie bar. Women there have a magnet installed that atracts them to Rolexes. Especially with lots of bling.

Something Tells Me We'd All Keep This Needle Peaking :)
jfreeman420 replied to fotoman's topic in The looney bin
The study has to be inconclusive IMO. They only gave the subjects $20.00. How much real excitement can you get spending $20 online? Put me in a group and give me say $10,000 and you'll get some real results!!! I'll be the first volunteer as well. -
Maybe trying to justify themselves to purchasing fake watches, making themselves feel better. Oh the guilt of that first replica purchase.....LOL @palhaco02: Nice choice for a your first purchase, a replica of a $1,000,000 watch. At least its not a black sub.
-
Where did you get that pic of good old linds in my car? [censored] still wont give back my sub.... Who is the genius that came up with that skull dial? Totally fugly. I wouldn't buy it for $6.00 and they want $6,000. I think someone is going to be stuck with a lot of ugly Rolexes.

They forgot one: on a box of condoms "Caution choking hazard".

I am a happy guy as well. Thanks for the hard work Admin. You know the first thing I changed, can anybody else guess?

When I was younger and owned only one watch (a black Rolex sub) I used to leave it on and my g/f used to say, "I hate that watch" because she used to get scratched. Now it all depends on the girl. If she is one that I don't know very well and might have sticky fingers I keep all my jewelry on (I trust no one). If she is one of the regulars it may come off, or maybe it's put away before she arrives. It also depends on the location. Obviously everything stays on for the quickies in the stairwell.

D & B sounds like our best bet. I've been trying to think of where else we could go, but thid is just too perfect. Let's confirm and set a date.

To All You Out There With Huge Watch Collections
jfreeman420 replied to Devedander's topic in General Discussion
I guess I was misunderstood when I said disposable. I simply meant I don't wear them anymore. My winder holds 8 with storage for 12 more, and I have two more boxes that hold 10 each. The winder gets the frequently worn watches and the boxes in the closet are the ones that are disposed of. I don't throw anything away. That would be inhumane considering the watches souls and all . Right next to my retired watches I have 4 old surround recievers, boxes of old magazines, 2 tape decks, etc, etc. I have one with an electric blue dial that stopped about 2 years ago. I took the back off and popped out the crown trying to exchange the movement with a retired Rolex but gave up in the middle so there she sits. I still wish we had more time together though. It is sitting in the graveyard where it shall remain mmwahhahaha. -

I think this topic has been touched on before, but it is always interesting to me to hear what people think. I view replica watches as disposable. To the regular non-wis timex wearing guy it may sound absurd to view something that cost from $200 to $300 as disposable, but that same person also sees having 22 watches and 2 wrists absurd. I have come to the realization that no matter how attached I get to a replica watch or how much I like a particular model or version, someday it will either cease to run or it will become beat up and worn to the point that I no longer feel proud wearing it. Funny, I have quite a large wardrobe and most of my shirts are $100 or more, but god forbid I get a stain or tear on one of my favorite Nat Nast's......... I have a few watches still in the box that are past due for service, but I never plan on servicing a rep. Most of these are rarely worn because a new one took its place or they are just too scratched up. My point is Devander, if you stay in this hobby as long as I have there is always the next watch. Just when I think this is it, I never need another watch, they release the Hublot Big Bang LOL. I have also owned several genuine watches and never had any of them serviced. My oldest was a 1981 Rolex president single quick set and as far as I know it was never serviced (i was the second owner), but still kept time as good as a Rolex does. I read an article once where a guy had a truck with 300,000 miles on it and never changed the oil. It ran as good as new. Some people say that the change your oil every 3,000 miles is [censored] marketing. I wonder if it is the same for watches to an extent. My question to the experts here is: Does servicing your watch every 5 years really do much to add longer life to the movement or is just for the sake of keeping cosc time? It doesn't bother me if my watch is +- 30 sec per day. Can a movement really crap out on you totally without servicing and what are the chances of that happening? -
You Wake Up One Day And All The Rep Dealers Are Gone!
jfreeman420 replied to elprimerozen's topic in General Discussion
Why would you even say something like that? What a horrible thought...........Knock on wood. That means no more replica boards as well? What would I do at work all day?
