  1. I think by "bezels" you are referring to what we call "insert" or "inlay". The bezel is actually the metal ring on which you fit the insert. The thing you have to know if that they are two different sizes of insert depending if you have a submariner or a sea dweller. For instance, a gen sea dweller insert will not fit a submariner and vice versa. So it is probably that you are trying to fit a gen submariner insert on your sea dweller or the other way around! Hope i have been clear and hope that helps
  2. thanks for sharing! What is the official price in the US for this model by the way? In Europe, it is about
  3. This is so nice!!!! Which base watch did you use? What movement do you have in there? Anyhow, congratulations for this beauty
  4. I actually hope not to be on anything! With the little knowledge i've acquired, it just looks too much gen to be a rep bracelet. The printing of "93150" is really good as the general appearance. I'll be able to say more when i have the links on hand. So i really hope that this double weird looking ends are only how rolex made them afterwards. It could even make sense. Why would rep makers loose time with making a double hole thing when they could just make a simple rounded one??? Seriously? So my hope is it is something that came on the later version of the 93150. If only someone could confirm that, i'd be off the hook! Hope i haven't spend
  5. I think gen also but this last endlink tube thing bugs me so much!
  6. Since you own a gen with probably a 93150 bracelet, maybe you could check out something on yours. The thing i'm not sure about is the end of the bracelet where you are supposed to put the endlinks. Here is a picture to illustrate what i mean (Ubi's credit for these ones, i think everyone will have recognize the marble ) Gen 78360 vs Rep 78360: Gen Rep Even for general purpose, it would be interesting to know if Rolex ever change their designs for the 93150 bracelet.
  7. Dear all, As someone raised some concerns, i'm wondering if the bracelet links you'll find here are genuine. What is your opinion? My concern are specifically adressed to the end of the bracelet where you are supposed to put the endlinks. Somebody told me most of the gens where all rounded and not with the "wave" you can see on this one. Would it have something to do with Rolex changing their design a bit or is it just a sign it is fake? Thanks in advance for all the help provided, Cheers
  8. You are more than welcome. What i gave or share is not even enough for now, judging by the knowledge i've acquired these past few years. But it's coming!!!
  9. Thought i'd share this with the community. Not to brag or anything but more to encourage all the members that didn't do it yet to consider for a second what this forum is sharing with them. It took me a while to understand the necessity to donate to the forum. At first, i joined but didn't log to often, taking bits of information there and there. It actually took me a lot of time to purchase my first rep: almost two years i'd say. Along the way, i realized how great this community was and how important and fair it was to contribute to the whole thing. I found so many great members and information that you can't find easily elsewhere and even sometimes can't find at all! Even for the gen watches, given the fact that people here are specialized on rep, we have the knowledge of do's and dont's. Today, i log in almost every day and i find myself coming here just to hang, read stuff and all rather that just looking for info for myself. I log in to learn of course, to look at all the amazing stuff that is going on (projects finishing up, etc) but also, when i can, to share the knowledge i acquired! That is why i renewed my subscription for a year. Next time, i'll go Platinum that's for sure!
  10. That's allright! Next time i guess!
  11. Nice collection you got there JMB! PM me if you'd like to part with that Black Air King, i might be interested.
  12. Nice scores! If you ever have another 5513 for under a grand laying around, let me know
  13. Ubi's birthday is approaching then!!!!!! Sweet gift!
  14. Great piece and great story! I love the fact that you chose a space dweller dial instead of the basic explorer one. It adds character and style to the watch! Enjoy
  15. I'd say birth dates for kids and wife, similar to the engraving you got for your 5514! Gotta check though! Hold on
  16. Nice new signature pic you got there Ubi! Congrats to Stilty! Awaiting on the finished product, as we all are!
  17. Well, first off, judging by the sticker, it is vintage. Juding by the size between the lugs and form in general, my guess would be sea dweller or submariner. The A starter serial number puzzle me however. I can't go any further! Tell us what is this new toy you got there !
  18. I fear not, and that's a shame, especially since the last ones were 4liners 14060!
  19. That is one hell of a collection of no date subs! Dunno about others, but i particularly like the last sub you got there! However, the explorer does look nice aswell! To be honest, they all look incredible! Ubi is da Man!
  20. No kidding, that's what ubi is probably thinking! "I guess it is allright"
  21. That is what you had on the side! As always, Ubi style should be a brand in itself I think everybody will agree that, chrono wise, you have exactly the right amount and the right models. A big to you my friend That is quite some hell of a daytona!
  22. +1. Of course congrats on this fine purchase of yours! You'll enjoy it for years to come but let us know if any of the previous versions are still available! Someone needs to take up the journey you just finished!
  23. It is for my MBW 5513 who has already been fitted with a newer style gen service insert without the need to shave it. So i guess it should fit no problem! I am looking for a fat font to age!
