  1. Where can one get a PMWF insert? Who is selling those? Can someone enlight me please?
  2. It depends where you go but i'd say between $80 and a $100. Correct me if i'm wrong.
  3. I can't be sure about which route to go since i'm no expert on the 16520 but there is one thing where you are absolutely right: you need Ubi's advice. He is known for his 16520 el primero twins so he'll be the one able to point you in the right direction. Ubi, someone needs your guidance!
  4. Too bad! I'm sorry for your "loss". I wouldn't like if a build was caught by custom myself. Do you mind me asking from where to where did the custom act?
  5. Superb and...tempting (Ubi knows what i mean )! Congrats to both Ubi and the lucky owner!
  6. I only know Rolex and for this brand, i guess it would be between freddy333 or Ubiquitous. Both are sharing so much information and give so much insight on the forum, it'd be hard to tell them apart!
  7. Very nice Pete ! Wear it well because this beast is just magnificent! Would you enlight us on how much you paid for it with all the gen parts? Thanks
  8. Wow! That definitely is a one of a kind insert Would look cool on a gold watch I think and will definitely be a killer on a submariner!
  9. I'd say V1 as well for the dial. The insert is definitely gen. Good job on the CG's Congrats
  10. Everyone got it alright? Because i didn't know of this website before so i don't really know how reliable they are on hosting files. Let me know if the link doesn't work properly
  11. And here is the pdf version my friends: Click here Enjoy
  12. EDITED: that is great stuff! Ronin, you have to find a way to distribute the file for us! BTW, is "Preview" a software (for mac users)?
  13. Thanks for sharing this! What a watch!
  14. That's what tipped me off also! I own the V3 (as you must do aswell) so it is either for us to catch the small bugs! To the OP: Great watch still! Equipped with gen crystal, crown and insert, you are more than good to go!
  15. Ok the "4" on the insert is the old style one and now that i've analyzed the pearl more seriously, the insert is definitely gen. So i would say gen insert but still WM9 for the rest.
  16. For me WM9 because of the CG's that are a bit too long, the pearl which on the last picture looks odd and the lenght of the endlinks (even though it depends on the angle: on the last one, they look wrong but not on the second one). Anyhow, if this baby is gen, that proves that even what we think are defects on WM9 are not all the time founded. If this is WM9, it tricks so many people normally used to know the tip offs signs that you know you chose the right one!
  17. I think you reached a level where the accuracy of the fonts is just irrrelevant! I personally like the black dial better (remind me of the greyish dial there is on the latest TOG) so I would go with that. But I hear you, the choice is tough: however, whatever you choose, this 6542 will always be astonishing! EDIT: just saw you choose the white dial. Seeing it in the case, I have to agree with your choice, it is exquisite!!!!! Silly me for choosing the black one in the first place
  18. Very nice watch Watcher! This is the absolute 16610! I have a question for you: i own the V3 and i was thinking about upgrading it with gen tube and crown (already got a gen insert fitted). I feel like the CG's are a bit too long and so am thinking about shaving them a little. What do you think about that? Does installing the new tube and crown would improve this CGs lenght issue? Or will i still need to shave them a bit if i want them to look perfect? Hope i've been clear enough, Would very much welcome your light on this matter!
  19. You achieved it so fast!!!!!!! Congrats! You learnt fast as well and shared fast!
  20. What a beast! Must love the serial number stuff! It makes the watch so unique, it is not a replica anymore! It is a unique timepiece you'll enjoy for a long time! Don't even think about getting a gen case (plus, who would drill it for the HEV?). Just one thing: i'm not a keen expert on that matter but aren't the CG's a bit chunky (even though i've seen some gens with more pronounced CG's so who knows)? Needless to say it is a great watch (and a rarer project around there)
  21. That's the spirit! Please, try not to lose faith in the new members (like me). Some (i know there's a few) need and hopefully deserve your insight and help. You are a huge asset to this forum, as other respected members are. Unfortunately, i don't really know how it was before, but i can sure tell you that it is, to my point of view, a great place to hang around with great people to chat with!
  22. Thank you. I am checking VRF almost everyday just to check all the great watches that comes and goes. However, like you said, it is always going for $$$!
  23. Well if you ever found another one wandering around watcher and you don't know what to do about it, you know where to find me! thanks again, i appreciate it
