  1. Bravo! Nice little piece of storytelling with a watch cleverly inserted. Col.
  2. What part of OZ are you in mate? Pointless PMing you about a GTG in Brissie if you are in Perth Added and waiting a city. Col.
  3. Ya, it's nice in black dial but I still can't go past the Panda. Oh what the hell, I'll get the black one day to (maybe). The black is a perfect subject for a ChiefTang AR job. Col.
  4. Yep, amazing ain't it? Nice find Red. This is a new one on me and very handy indeed. Duly bookmarked. Thanks. Col.
  5. Strap porn! Very nice. I love how a bit extra changed the charecter of your piece Omni. That gator is gunna make some real nice straps I dare say. Col.
  6. The insert sits about right, well done. The CGs are prob a bit over done (hard to tell from pics) but that's how we learn in this game. The trick is to never keep going to get perfect ballence or you end up with nothing. If they hug the crown as they should it's not all that noticable if one is a little out. Col.
  7. Yep, this guy is bad news folks. Real horror story! Got bitten once, never again. What are you after parts for capice? Col.
  8. How very kind of Rolex No doubt they will be in a spin when they read this. Don't everybody rush them for manuals please. Take a number! Col.
  9. Have a look and make shure that the clasp holes have been broached propperly too. It may be the hole rather than the bar. If that is the problem a light scrape with a de-buring tool should fix it as it's prob only a bit of crap on the edge of the hole. Col.
  10. Not my pic but another gen seamaster, this particular one is one of my all time favorite watches. One day I'm gunna own one of these! Col.
  11. Well my friend the guy you are talking to above is Russian (by birth) so I think he prob knows best, don't you? NEVER trust google for an exact translation. If you're lucky you get something that makes sence, kinda. Intrieging homage tho, very B&R. The homage crazies at RWG 1.1 will be interested. They are busy disecting old pocket watches to get MVTs for vintage homage Pams ATM. I particualy like VDB's effort on THIS page and Houndoggie's HERE Col.
  12. Not bad. If it is a Jap auto then it's a huge bargin. The MVT is worth a fair percentage of the purchase price and it came with a nice box.Well done. Col.
  13. Yeah, I'd tend to put a coat of pure Glisten on top so no pigment is exposed to light however. The stuff is amazingly tough. They use it for anti graphiti paint too because you can apply paint stripper to it with no effect on the glisten, just removes the graphiti. Col.
  14. LOL, review is a preety lose word for what they do. "Misslead" would be a better one. Col.
  15. Gotta agree with Luthier on that one. I'd rather have the PR working but FFS, why can't we have both???? Col.
  16. No. But Josh just might. He would be the person to ask. These things change every now and again so even if someone has one they bought a cpl of mths ago that does the current ones may be a new run and different. Generaly if it has AR the specs on his website will say so. Col.
  17. Different but nice. Ever so slightly blue. Does the blue stand out more in person? The catalogue for rep dials available for these is about an inch, someone showed a pic of one somwhere a while back. There are thousands of them just like the gen. You would never run out of varients to collect. Col.
  18. And "Tang-a-fied" I bet What else can you say but HOLY CRAP!!!!! The lume on these is something else. How long was the exposure? DAMN! I looked at those and thought I saw movment, no much, but movment. Hard to tell with those big fat hands (the watches, not yours). Col.
  19. Nice. Allways prefered these to the date at 5 for obvious reasons. The black dial is the way to go as well altho for dressy wear I could be tempted into a white one. This is definiatly worth a better strap IMO. Croc with a gen deployent maybe? Col.
  20. Just about the best general info post on Pressure testing/water proofing I'v seen on any of the fora. Well done! With reference to the water proofing of Daytonas have a looky HERE Col.
  21. +1 I'm not a huge AP fan and I'v still gone green! Col.

    Pink Lady

Interesting! Would have been nice to get a pink pearl finish on the dial but it looks great as is IMO. I'd tend to leave the hands but as stated above the important thing is what does the missus think? Col.
  23. hey Pugs, did I say ALL you other guys? A cpl of shots seem very exposed without any sec hand movment at all, not yours my friend. Col.
