  1. You realise you can replace just the cyclops don't you? Just hit it with a hair dryer untill the glue melts, remove, clean up residual glue and afix new cyclops with some UV glue and sit it in the sun for a few minutes. The correct cyclops is obtainable from Jules Borel or Cousins UK For a few dollars. Get a new pearl (less than $10) from Watch Material while you're at it. Col.
  2. Yeah, something in the 40 dollar range should do the job. Mine was aprox US30 and it's just enough for bands and maybe MVT parts. It won't do a print head perfectly for example and would have no hope on a fuel injector. The real good stuff starts at around 100USD. Somthing around that price will do any watch job you could come up with. Col.
  3. If only the correct digi displays were available! It sure is one huge hunk of a watch. Col.
  4. That's him Ubi. 100% positive feedback and 4.5 star rating so can't be all to bad. Col.
  5. Not sure about Glashutte but for an interesting range of fliegers have a look at WERNERS Col.
  6. I don't have one but I want one! Nice pics. One thing they show is that the AR is not quite perfect on the Disco. Even on the white I'd have to consider a trip to CT me thinks. Col.
  7. Tat is the guy who owns Getatwatch. Col.
  8. Tat can now supply any watch with V10 lume from GlowInc (very good stuff). This will eventualy become his std lume if all goes to plan. The straps on these realy are outstanding. Folk have bought the watch just for the strap. Not sure on that dial issue. I havn't heard it being a problem as yet but it could easily be so. Tat has a range of dials and the ones from Jackson fit as well. He also has some very well priced MVTs inc a hand wound PVD one. Col.
  9. Nice work! As Pugsy says, once you have the settings down pat some good work will come out of there. BTW, the crown on your sub needs cleaning Col.
  10. I just had the same problem with the damn 2813! Very annoying, everything was going swimingly up to that point. Anyone know if there is a sec hand with a longer tube? Col.
  11. tat is a recomended dealer at RWG1.1 and is very popular there. You will find many reviews and pics of various stuff from him there. Here is an EXAMPLE Col.
  12. Arghhhh! Curse ye! 'tis the 20th here allready! Col.
  13. Gibberish? LOL. now I'm going fo de popcorn! If you hailed from The Islands bra, it wouldn't be gibberish. Cheaky, this latest lot. Col.
  14. /me gets up, yawns and chks PM box. WoooHooo! This boy is one live mutha! Got a real nerve for a noobie you have boy (I'm assuming you're about 14 'cause anything else would be a worry). Apparently we Aussies are How inventive. Did you compose that whole thing on your own or did daddy have to help with the big words? You know, the couple that you used that had more than on syllable? I told you to [censored] off 'cause you deserved it. Folk here will tell you how rare it is for me to react like that but for a AAAAA++++++++ asshat like you, I made an exception. BTW, I particularly liked this line: Maybe if you took a bit of your own advice? You're just a big mouthed noob who came waltzing in with an over inflated ego and an opinion about as welcome as swine flu. Why don't you take up a more suitable hobby, like goat bothering. Anyway, I have no intention of fouling up this fine forum any more attempting to get thru to a boy with the social skills of a rabid skunk so if you want to continue this please feel free to come over home : http://www.replica-watch-guide.net/forum/index.php?act=idx# where there are a few folk who wish to meet you. We have not had a decent chew toy in a while now and you're almost as much fun as James from Best Swiss! I have a feeling JohnG will like you! (What's the bet he won't folks?) Lani: Mmmmmm, Leonards! Beats the hell outa Krispy Kream! Col.
  15. If it's a classic (ie: not new) that is one way of not loseing too much on the deal,. Buy smart and the net loss on a classic in that time should be zero. Our friend appears to trade in his new cars that often however. Not that rare an occurence, lots of my clients do. I have several that trade in million dollar boats every year or so, even less if they decide they don't like it. Money is relitive mate. Col.
  16. Sigh, I could go on and on about RWG2's new playtoy but he's realy not worth the effort so . . . Whichwatch, [censored] off! Col.
  17. This guy again He pops up all the time. I'm lazy to night so I'm gunna cut and paste what Greg_r had to say about one of his other brands on RWG1.1 yesterday. Nothing wrong with the watches but Swiss? No, sorry. Made in same factories as our reps probably. Col.
  18. FedEx deliver to my Po box in OZ. They won't come out to the house. They can't find it! Even if it's addresed to the house they just dump it at the post office. I think the point here is that in OZ all Po Boxes are at the Post Office, not some third party mail service like some countries. BTW, HERE is a handy little site that tell you the correct format for adressing mail to allmost any country in the world. Col.
  19. Buy yourself a Cape Cod polishing cloth. That will remove any stains. As long as it dries off the hard water shouldn't hurt. Don't you Yanks belive in rain water tanks? That's the std for off the water grid living here. Beats the hell out of bore water. Col.
  20. Should not be too hard, Back off, flick the little tab that holds the batt in place (or undoo a cpl of screws and remove a plate), pop in new one, grease seal and replace back. That's it for most watches. Try to keep your fingers off the batt as much as possible and wash your hands first, preff with one of those alcohol based "waterless sanitisers" to remove as much of your skins oils as possible. If you're clever you can use a pair of plastic tweezers but I find 'em to clumsy. NFI what it uses but if it's a silver oxide make shure you use a SRxxxW and not a SRxxxSW if you want your watch to live. It may even have two batts, one for the digi and one for the analoge side. If that's the case one or the other prob still works.PM me the numbers on the batt and I'll send you the different numbers for various brands of batt. Col.
  21. P4GTR beat me to it: OMFG the under steer! "V10 in a box" The E30 is THE small Beemer IMHO and an M5 six is more than enough engine for one of these, sounds nicer too! I had a lovely 2.8 E30 coupe a few years ago untill some fool came thru a red light . . . Glad I was in that car! Col.
  22. That's BK for you! Nice one mate Col.
  23. Hey Robbie! Good to see ya mate! Gotta agree, I love my Blue Surf. The price of these is crazy low for what you get. All it needs is for the crystal to have a trip to CT and it would be perfect. Think I would like to order a braclet to see how it looks on that as well. Should prob get a spare strap as well since they won't last for ever. BTW, is the TT lume correct or another silly fault from the factory? Col.
