  1. Lol! That doesn't make me feel any younger!
  2. Thank you. I hate to give away my (our?) age, but the genuine inserts are 55 to 60 years old now. Time marches on. I, however, limp...
  3. panerai153's build used the case/bezel from MingQuy. He might be a good source to talk to.
  4. freddy's is top of the line with all genuine Rolex parts except the insert, which is a genuine 'JoeyB'. It all depends on what a person wants, and more importantly, how much they will spend.
  5. freddy led the way, and the rest is history! http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/150062-6542-is-it-the-executive-suite-or-mailroom-or-somewhere-in-between/ It's not a 1675, it is a 6542. The 1675 came after the 6542 and introduced crown guards.
  6. Will GMT option be available? Any idea for a ballpark price?

I would really like to see a picture of a gilt dial made by Rolex right after it was finished. I think that gilt was far more 'gilty' when fresh than we know.

The gilt is a bit exaggerated in that I left the sandpaper 'swirl' in the brass. But the process is as you outlined, and as I read a few years back. The pic is of a water-slide decal printed on an inkjet printer. Inkjet does not print white. So, on that dial the black is all the decal provides, and the 'gilt' shows through the decal from the face of the blank dial. Obviously you can make the dial face any color, or bare. I think the 'process' is similar to the way they used to do it.

Is this what you are talking about?
  10. My deepest sympathies for you both.
  11. I agree with Teejay and panerai. Legalize marijuana, and tax it. Another cash crop, jobs, businesses, industry. The drug lords make $billions. Pay off our National Debt, make Medicare a universal health care plan for everyone, and pay back all of congress' loans to Social Security. Then in the 2nd 6 months do some real work...
  12. "For The Marine Who Has Everything" Marines have a sharp dress uniform, but that watch wouldn't fit in with the dress blues. It'd be OK with their service uniform. But if they wore that in a combat zone, the first glint off the hands would generate a whole bunch of incoming.
  13. Have it engraved on the caseback and it will immediately become a family heirloom. I'd list everything! Wife's name, wedding date and each childs birthdate. Have it done as they come. If you're planning a big family you can go with the Deep Sea, bigger still, a Pam!
  14. I think it is a genuine 16753. Correct hand stack for that model, 1st model to have the current hand stack. And 6mm crown would be correct too.
  15. Yep, that was my first thought. The maxi hands on the GMTc and the Deep Sea are wider, but same length. What does one have to do with the other?

    Rolex 6200

Yes he did. I copied his method on my first small GMT hand. On my 6204 I made the second and hour hands from pieces of hands. It's supposed to have the longer ones. Maybe some day... .
  17. That depends on where the date window is, and the diameter of the dial. You can easily reduce the diameter of the dial to size, but the date window is the issue. If someone can show us how to make a beveled date window then the blanks from Otto Frei for ETA would work at a cost of about $4 each.
  18. That is the problem. I've acquired a couple of really messed up Sub dials just to make the blanks. I had to solder the marker holes closed, thin it out for clearance of GMT hand, and solder dial feet to a spacer ring, then epoxy that to the back of the dial. It's a pain, but it works. I use water slide decals. I'd think your way would be sharper.

RolexAddict specializes in the 1675 GMT. You can PM him. http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/142045-1675-trilogy/?hl=1675#entry1062346
  20. I didn't introduce racism to this discussion, someone else did. You joined in. My statement was that racism is an issue I would fight. So, if you want to know what I have you just keep pitching your big load of shit and I'll keep right on hitting it.
  21. So what? It still isn't what was said. "2010 United States Department of Justice report which surveyed homicide statistics during the year of 2010 reports that the 49% of all murder or manslaughter arrests were of white individuals. 48% of murder or manslaughter arrests were of black individuals. And to that you say "there are so many more white males so taking your statement as true I could say that more black males commit murder than white."?? Math is not your strong suit.
  22. I am a 61 year old retired military officer with 38 years of service, Your question/scenario is insulting, moronic, and of no purpose at all. If you think for one moment that I don't recognize racism when I see it, you are sorely mistaken. The FACTS show the racist statements/scenarios to be wrong.,
  23. When did I say anything about leaving race out of this? And again, I'd ask for validation of your claim that "the great majority of murders are not committed by white males". The reason I ask is because a 2010 United States Department of Justice report which surveyed homicide statistics during the year of 2010 reports that the 49% of all murder or manslaughter arrests were of white individuals. 48% of murder or manslaughter arrests were of black individuals.
  24. I would argue that murderers are not very likely to even be voters. That civic pride thing keeps getting in the way.
  25. Why would it be wrong? Because it isn't necessary to the argument at hand. When a statement like this is made: "We have approx ~9000 firearm deaths per year on average, the majority of which are perpetrated by Obama voters." There can be only one reason for it. But if we look at the facts, the multiple murders such as at Sandy Hook, Gabby Gifford in Arizona and a few more since then, the Batman movie theater, Columbine, and on and on were all perpetuated by conservative white males. I'd bet there's only one reason for that as well.
