  1. that's funny, F!...you're about 3 degrees off center!...but that's why i relate...
  2. Andrew is top shelf...he'll make it right...it'll be frustrating to you to send it back - as its your first one...but that's sometimes how it goes...better to get it right than have it die quickly on you... good luck and let us know how the process goes...feedback is always good... R-
  3. watch looks good to me...not sure if you are asking for the known flaws on the rep or flaws on this specific model...it's not a perfect replication - but since it's a busy dial, its not noticeable...'Moscow' on the caseback is mispelled 'Moscuw"...a known flaw - but no big dial, IMO... i, too, am interested in where you are buying this one...someone is going to nice lengths with pix of the actual watch - especially the movement tester pix...not the norm - and way above what we usually get from dealers... R-
  4. ummmm...that unwinding isn't right...you probably should send it back to the dealer...contact him and explain the problem...i wouldn't wait on it...sometimes this happens - but better to deal with your dealer now...it'll be frustrating to wait for the return and back...but it's all part of this hobby...but definitely isn't right...sounds like an unwinding of a winding gear - that should not slip like that... thanks on the blue lume...sexy on the BB...and btw - you can't go wrong with the Blacksteel...its a sharp piece!... R-
  5. btw - here's a link of my Blackbird - blue lumed applied...and now i'm waiting on the crystal which is getting double AR coating... the Blackbird is a fantastic watch...one of my absolute favorites...so i decided to customize it...cool...cool blue!... R-
  6. is the sound a buzzing like something unwinding?...or is it a loose part/clinking sound?...sometimes the rotors can come loose and you here that rattling around...a simply small screwdriver fix...if you want to "investigate", wad up some packing/duct tape into a small ball - sticky side out...and then press down on the case back to unscrew it...it should come off fairly easily - at least most of my Breits do...then take a look carefully...btw - the rotor spins with hand motion to wind your watch...sometimes you do here then spin...if loud, a watchsmith can fix it with some watch oil/lube... regarding your next Breitling - i would suggest this one : R-
  7. the "T"s are absolutely cool!...i had it lumed just so i could have the "L"s changed to "T"s... nice work on the CG pin/lever fix, too!... R-
  8. my Ziggified 036.........
  9. TGIF RWG!... readying a FS today/tomorrow (this watch not included!)...stay tuned... my Ziggified 036.........
  10. well done, R!... your orig post comparing these 2 watches helped me decide to go grey...and i simply love how the watch changes with varying light...and it looks sharp on leather, even more so.... R-
  11. i owned one...and if you search this forum, you'll find pix of it... it's a stunning piece - with a really nice dial...from my recall, it's not superaccurate...the datewheel is sunken - but since it's a busy dial, it's not as noticeable as you would think...the watch does need aftermarket double AR to make the crystal pop...it's a large face watch and the crystal really reflects light without AR... R-
  12. @BT -- if you get a chance sometime, can you shoot some pix of your blue gen fish in natural light outdoors...grey and/or sunny sky...your studios are stunning - but day/day lighting really alters how it looks in the wild...thx!...R
  13. you had me at hello... one hurdle behind me with this potential dlc fish project concept...
  14. hold the presses...you popped off the bezel off a SOSF?!?!?!...more. please.......
  15. nice review...well done!... these are very cool watches... I had the BS on the infamous hktan red/black strap - but found it a bit "too much"...I actually prefer it on the black rubber as it tones it down a little bit and reflects the character of the watch best, IMO... Alas, I sold mine to fund a gen dial v1 ti Seawolf...but I'm still very much interested in getting another...
  16. got this one yesterday...currently my only Rollie...i like this - a lot!... (pix compliments of jfreeman420)
  17. thanks spook...this i know of the Skyland, for sure...but can't seem to find or recall definitively this is true of the Steelfish...
  18. Does anyone know whether the bezel on the SOSF is removable - and not as difficult as the Skyland?... @chris --> was thinking the same - the lume has to be less bold...a c1/c3 mix and/or grey'ish... R-
