  7. well, Yoda - this young Jedi learned from the best...afterall, I only received the paneristi link from The Master about 10 times, huh?!... btw - nice new avatar!... R-
  8. @BT --> thanks for the shots and the post...RobbieG has inspired many of us - both with watch selection and with his strength of character...a nice reminder when you mentioned his name and of course his fantastic pix... R- Bike Mike has me pondering the black SOSF - for versatility in bracelet and strap choices...and i'm also thinking i can "survive" with my gen blue dial rep CA and my white dial rep fish...decisions, decisions....
  9. From Paneristi: http://www.paneristi.com/archives/PreA_Panerai/Pre_A_Panerai.html In November of 2003, at PDay#2 in Cologne, Angelo Bonati presented an orange dialed T-SWISST-T Luminor that was housed in a pre-Vendome 5218-210 PVD case. This older prototype suddenly emerged from his inside pocket, at the same time when he presented the factory drawings for PAM 195 for the first time on the European mainland.
  10. argh...i can't keep track of all these PAMs...which model number PAM is this?!... R-
  11. +1 on a serious note, i'll be wearing this tomorrow... R-
  12. giving this watch away to the first member who compliments it...
  13. thanks, BT!...nope - have had it for some time now...came via the Hikester...and then i added the utc bracelet to top it off...my grail watch...first saw this model in Paris in the late 90's...this one is a 2002...a fantastic piece!... it's sold as a black dial - but its much more tobacco... R-
  14. been awhile since i started one of these...so before i crash for the night, here goes... and who said real watches need to have a rotor?!...
  15. thanks for the kind words, JC and panther... i don't explicitly state it, but some of us offer money back and/or work with buyers on sales if there's an issue...sometimes, what may be a hairline is a big deal to someone...sometimes what i think is dust is a tiny scratch/scuff...i don't microscop a piece i sell nor can i describe every mark...and there's always marks...anyhow, i wear my pieces - most of them - so there's bound to be "imperfections"...but everyone has a different toleration level...i try to stick with folks i've dealt with and/or members i've "seen around" that i feel are members and not transients...this is a community afterall, i believe and support that!... i also let members know that i'm more than willing to reveal my name and address and contact info...especially for higher priced pieces...learned this from Hike...we became friends because we spoke directly on a piece...and now i'm very pleased i can call him up on a quiet friday night when i need advice on how to toast a PAM dial just for fun!... with anything - due diligence and a degree of educated gut feel... now panther - truth is....the Oris coming your way doesn't have a movement...did you want one?...
  16. nice, F!... what model and/or year is this piece representing? well done!!!...
  17. A-Mike...yes, you can have it done in any color lume...The Zigmeister did mine...he's a master...he stripped out all the old lume and relumed it with the tritec blue lume...tritec also has orange lume...go for it!...it's cool to create a unique piece... R-
  18. well - the best solution is getting a gen SOSF...
  19. one of my favorite Breits...the brushed case and bracelet is top-notch...and fantastic looking and wearing piece... great watch and great pix...thanks for sharing... R
  20. cougs - have you considered figuring out if the 12 o'clock tab can be removed and replaced?...that might solve your pearl issue...i have an a21j fish with a swiss case - yet larger pearl...but the engravings are great on this one...my t4d fish is an asian "lite" model and the pearl is good, but the bezel engravings aren't as nice as the swiss fish...looking at my two fish, the best configuration is the thinner swiss case where the case extends slightly past the bezel (like the gen), the swiss bezel and the asian 12 o'clock tab and pearl...i have no idea if this could be assembled easily or not...
