thanks, BT -- agreed DL...i like the black much better, too... R

@BT --> its a genuine blue Chrono Avenger dial...matched with blue Skyland hands...almost a perfect match...it's set in the v1 ss version of the Chrono Avenger case - same case as the v1 titanium CA, but in ss...

ah -- thanks guys!... @BT --> can you photoshop a white dial SOSF with pvd coating?...from viewing your first pix above, i'm now thinking a white dial might be a nice contrast with the pencil lead look...thoughts/comments appreciated... @avitt --> thanks - i was exploring this in this post before i sent you a pm -- as i have not seen anyone do this with a SOSF...and afterall, in the Avenger series, we already have a repped Blacksteel - albeit not as good as yours!...so the waters are ripe for a BlackFish...i'll pm you on this... i know that the Skyland bezels are an absolute bear to wrestle off - unless you have the right removal tool - like avitt has!...but i can't recall the SOSF bezel being the same in difficulty...i'll need to research that...i have an asian fish case that is the same as the high-end 'ultimate' swiss case -- and can spare it...so i might consider this a project of sorts...i still have my other SOSF - so i can spare this one... does anyone know if the pearl can be removed with heat and/or some other method by prying it off?...it look to be applied on top of the bezel marker when viewed thru a loop... ooops...the 082 is gen... gorgeous!...

ok...many know i like to have some fun with my Breitlings...as andreww so eloquently stated, "my Avenger collection looks like it was built the day after the Breitling Christmas Party"... soooooo...i'm currently transfixed on a possible SOSF black dial aftermarket pvd piece...hmmmmmm...sounds delicious...and thinking this could be the ideal piece to not only do the watch head, but go the distance and have the bracelet done, too... has anyone done this?...

all this talk of versions... http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/7908/casky3.jpg http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/7379/caskylandswap2c.jpg (there's just something about the simplicity and crispness of the v1 CA bezel...and case)

this is amazing timing...today i wore the Z-Slevin, cc!...taking good care of it, my friend!...truly a great piece...and with some nice "heritage"... sad that the 082 isn't with ya...'cause otherwise, i'd be begging for it... R-

re: Bezel/pearl...I've gone over these pix a number of times and find that the t4d model has the pearl of the "ultimate" Swiss version, yet has the bezel engravings of the less expensive Asian fish...The less expensive Asian fish version has engravings closer to the gen and "ultimate" Swiss, IMO, yet has a larger, less accurate pearl...the t4d model is hybrid... Also - as previously stated, the t4d model's bezel does not have the engraved "B" on its edge... Lastly, the case of the t4d model is similar to the "ultimate" Swiss version - notice the case/bezel edge near 9 where you can see the case extends past the bezel... So clearly the t4d model; known then as the SOSF "lite" - long discontinued - is a hybrid... I've also noticed the crystal on the Asian fish is slightly domed and the t4d fish is not...not sure if the difference is sapphire versus mineral crystals or not...crystal is sapphire and lightly ar coated on the t4d "lite" fish... BT -- is the crystal slightly domed on the "ultimate" fish or "flat"? When i get a chance, i'll post some compare shots of the t4d asian "lite" model (white dial) and the "standard" asian model (blue dial)... R-

excellent review BT!...thanks!... totally agree with andreww's comments...i also think this watch looks great when the bracelet is gracefully worn and scuffed...adds to its character and less blingy... R-

looking at my white dial SOSF from t4d, i can tell you mine is similar to hammy1's... one thing to notice is that on the SOSF "lite" from t4d, the "40" markers on the bezel aren't as nicely spaced - with the "4" almost touching the tick mark...the white dial does have really nice concentric circles that are very noticeable - nice!...the "15" on the dial comes reallllly close to the silver date window - not as nicely spaced...the crystal has a very light AR coating - very light - that does work well with this white dial...mine also has the arrow seconds hand...the lume is green uncharged... all in all - a nice watch...not the best - but a great value piece...
