Yep, for me it's the thrill of the hunt combined with a semi-demented quest for perfection where perfection is, as I'm fully aware, not possible. Good times! The stem screws into the crown, sometimes glue is used to make a tight fit. Try to use a match or something to heat up the connection, melt the glue, and then unscrew with a pair of neddle nose. Be careful as the metal will get hot.

I tried tea but the process was extremely time consuming and the results were a bit dissapointing... but easy to remedy with some clean water if you make a mistake - washes right off.

Try to take apart the keyless works? Should be able to get to it...

I was playing around with my DRSD and cut the stem a little too short Also jacked my gen crown... but that's another story. Thanks for input on where I can pick-up a replacement.
