  1. The titanium 194 is lovely, I hope the rep is also titanium. I know some current tianium models are brushed steel, but at least I got them when they were made of titanium! No problem with the 7753 date corrector on this one as with the PAM187 (another one I like). Perhaps this one could use a genuine Swiss ETA 7750 movement, or the Asian 7750b1 copy like the Arktos rep. Here are pics of the 194 from monster-time.
  2. There 2006 Special Editions are doing the 1936 versions, so no need for distressing dials or straps if you don't want to. 2006 Special Editions
  3. These are all titanium about from the North Pole GMT... Isn't there an Arktos GMT? I prefer the Arktos name. Of all of these ones, the one I'd want most is PAM194, and as some may know, I would prefer titanium right now, especially during the summer months, due to a bad reaction to the nickel in stainless steel. I'm sure I am not the only one. Couldn't find a lefty titanium, but that would be good too. Oh and I only scored 3 maybe 4 goals today... didn't play too great Game ended up 12-12 with me scoring the equaliser in the dying seconds. ================================================= PAM194 Special Editions 2004 Luminor Submersible 2500m Titanium 47mm automatic http://www.panerai.com/s_special_editions...._categoria=3084 PAM225 Special Editions 2005 Luminor Submersible Chrono 1000m Slytech (white dial) Titanium 47mm http://www.panerai.com/s_special_editions...._categoria=4724 PAM221 Luminor Marina Automatic 44mm titanium http://www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id_lingu...id_categoria=35 PAM025 Luminor Submersible 44mm titanium, hobnail dial http://www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id_lingu...id_categoria=36 PAM252 Special Editions 2006 Luminor North Pole GMT Steel 44mm http://www.panerai.com/s_special_editions...._categoria=5824 PAM082 Special Editions 2000 Luminor Marina Militare Vespucci Titanium http://www.panerai.com/s_special_editions....id_categoria=45 PAM076 Special Editions 2002 Luminor Blackseal Titanium with cover http://www.panerai.com/s_special_editions....id_categoria=47
  4. No, I play every Saturday and every Monday... maybe an extra Wednesday over the summer after the World Cup too
  5. PAM194 in titanium and the PAM187 for sure. I'll look up other models after I get back from playing 5-a-side football. PAM194 in titanium and the PAM187 for sure. I'll look up other models after I get back from playing 5-a-side football.
  6. And on resale you won't lose as much, if anything. Go to an AD and try on a genuine and see how different it is to your rep, and if you still like it. Find out about servicing costs and how long it takes (believe me they can take months and be expensive!). Read TTK's points as well... they make sense.....! edited: for apostrophe addition.
  7. What would happen if you went into Italy wearing a rep? From what I understand it is illegal there.
  8. Mine is finally on the way! Great picture there, no reflections on the dial. Does it have AR coating, or just the way you took the picture?
  9. A watchmaker told me that the nickel plated ETA movements are from Switzerland, and the ones with gold/brass coloured parts are loose-pack movements from China. He says there is no difference between the two.
  10. Very, very good point. Take away the demand and the supply will follow. Stacks and stacks of unused reps and the vendor goes bankrupt, which means less sales for the factory. When they dry up, the factory won't be able to afford to make any more.
  11. I think you've used the wrong kind of person in your example. Obviously a CEO would be expected to be able to afford the real thing and would be unlikely to be called out on it. Do you think Alan Sugar or Richard Branson would even get called out on the worst reps if they wore them? Many people wear them as status symbols and no one would question that they have the wealth to afford the real thing. Substitute CEO for a trainee schoolteacher who wins 20k on the lottery... and then maybe it fits a little better?
  12. The crown is the first thing I spot on a R*l*x rep from 50 yards away, it's always blaring out "I'm a fake, I'm a fake" it's so damn obvious. Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee...
  13. Me too, I'd be annoyed if some of these reps (PAM GMTs) at the group buy frice of around USD435 dont use genuine ETA movements... cos then they may be overpriced.
  14. Different strokes for different folks. Some like that heavy chunk of metal on their wrist while others do not. The choice is yours
  15. It's mineral crystal or plastic.
  16. Easier for a hippie to imitate a navy officer than a navy officer to imitate a hippy.
  17. Very nice, and with a roulette function Not sure if I'll get it as I ordered a FM Vegas already.... but we'll see
  18. I wouldn't pay 2.5k for what I see as a pure novelty watch.......!
