  1. A $100-200 extra for the same Asian movement watch is a rip-off. For some of us, that is a lot of money (and why we buy reps not gens!). Sadly this may be the way to go. I think Eurotimez deserves a chance and if he is the only one delivering genuine guaranteed ETAs (and he'll presumably never send copy ETAs), he'll get a lot of business.
  2. Another AP thread (lanikai's) shows a genuine with the same date window... so no need to paint it black !
  3. I em sure you will be happy with it
  4. I think the men's 38mm version is the non-chrono with ETA movement, most of the other non-chronos are smaller and quartz.
  5. If you purchased the quartz version, it won't say automatic on the dial.
  6. It's his mistake, you could ask in advance that he gives you a credit of the shipping fee (agree the fee in advance, as well as method etc) for future purchases, and get a strap returned with the correct watch, for example ?
  7. Use the 35% off from the other thread
  8. I was told 850, others were told 750.. not sure what's going on. At least one of those have never bought from the dealer and was quoted 750... perhaps the price went up within 12 hours? I'm waiting to cash in my credit from the dealer, so just waiting on their response now. I like the polished bezel look ... the CF dial is nice also. The markings look wrong on the back but I can't find many definitive genuine pics... guess I'd just have to be happy with it !
  9. Lucky b*gger. I'd probably go for the PO Chrono - hasn't been repped properly! Or go for an El Primero
  10. I also prefer polished ceramic (bezels too). The smooth dial is good and truer to genuine Black Magic, but I love the carbon fibre dial too!
  11. Eurotimez was doing a group buy for the horn-back straps wasn't he? Worth asking him, as you also get the end links in his deal, as well as an optional deployant clasp.
  12. In that case, is the "Black Magic" available with carbon fibre dial, polished ceramic bezel, and white date wheel ? And this case back ? http://www.kingwatches.net/HUBLOT-041.htm
  13. Is there a version of the Black Magic with a carbon fibre dial ? Like this one? http://www.kingwatches.net/HUBLOT-041.htm I like the CF dial.. I gotta say... and don't have any watches with a CF dial... not any I can think of right now.
  14. Will this work for EU members too ? I'll try it when I get home in a few hours - still at work! Edit: quick look, I see no cashback graphic.
  15. I have found the same thing... feels - for want of a better word - "grainy" when winding, even after a service. I've also found a problem when trying to start it after it's stopped, that as much as I shake or slow-wind it, it won't re-start until I try to set the time. Odd. This is a non-chrono with secs at 9. Never experienced this with all the Swiss ETA (or my 1 El Primero) watches that I've had, reps or genuines. I guess it's just the nature of the beast eh ?
  16. I have a feeling the brushed part with the screws to hold the rubber strap will be PVD... can anyone get a response from one of the dealers on this part? I specifically asked if the case was coated ceramic or full ceramic and was told it is NOT coated and that it is full ceramic. I didn't think to ask of the brushed part, as I assumed the genuine had PVD'd steel there, from looking at the pics. I've never seen the brushed ceramic bezel, so if it's the same finish, perhaps it can be done. (PS. what are andrew and josh's big bang sites now?)
  17. To be fair, he started the thread, so anyone criticising in the way he does to you, is doing exactly the same thing Anyway he's on a time-out... let it be...
  18. I asked last night after seeing this post and the price you quoted, but perhaps I don't get benefits that other members do as I have only had 1 deal with her last year that didn't go that well. Was going to use that credit to get possibly this or the Tuiga. try asking again and see what you get this time? I havent seen it on her showbox site yet either.
  19. I asked and was quoted $850. I can't get into andrew or josh's sites (are they still bigbanghaven and bigbangworld?) as they seem to be taken down for some reason. Unless they've new ones now.
  20. It took me over an hour and lots of cursing ! I got one side in... but the other side was impossible. I eventually got some thinner spring bars and it worked a lot easier, though I sunk the "fork" of the spring bar tool deep into my finger one time !
  21. Try this one... though it has a black datewheel, I've seen them with white datewheels too. hxxp://www.chatelco.com/watch.php?id=248 replace the hxxp with http
  22. Probably a good idea to anonymise that link... we dont want AP pulling a Hublot ! (note i have putt xx to replace the tt in the above link - copy and paste into your browser)
