  1. Well... who are you?
  2. Nice picture Pug... the slevin and the iPhone
  3. I read the review all over again and it's still great reading material Hopefully a Cousteau Divers 2006 will be around my wrist soon again... i miss my old CD.
  4. Ohhh... this is starting to go in the right direction... now wait and see what they come up with. I hope they will check my post on the 3th page with some basic info!!
  5. gen dials are not that hard to find... maybe i even have one somewhere. If you're interested i could check my parts box.
  6. No chance to make a swan neck regulator on that movement without really, really serious modding! So better forget that. If you want a correct movement i suggest you contact Angus and buy a movement (H series) with swan neck from him.
  7. yes... Silix has a verion with of course other flaws... but a very good cross
  8. Ouch... i wished they made this one in Titanium like the real one... and with steel bracelet... and with limited edition numbers... crap... one of the best looking watches and they messed it up
  9. Hahahahahaha... and you call that a BIT dodgy??? One thing is for sure... "without box & papers" is not the same as "i'm selling a fake watch" although some sellers seem to think othewise. IMHO he's across the line, but since the bids are quite low i guess all bidders have a fair idea they are bidding on a fake watch.
  10. There's nothing new here guys... i've bought the exact same watch from MBW 3 or 4 years ago... sold it 2 years ago. It is exact to the yellowish screws, the same rotor, same dial etc... So if WM9 is saying this is new he is talking nonsense. Fact is... it's still quite a nice watch and the finish is excellent, like the PP Nautulus.
  11. Without having read the whole thread i can say i won't grief this decission one second... he's a bully... period.
  12. Full list of known errors/flaws... - no engraving between the lugs at 6 - california writing on dial at 12 .. should not be there - domed plexi too much domed - crown is wrong, both on Davidson's and on other versions... DSN version is probably most close, but still wrong shape - mvt engraing - hands on DSN version are wrong So... are we getting an improved version? Guess not... unless Angus or Davidson give it a try... Now i summed the flaws up, i can only come to the conclusion the Cali dial is not coming to join my collection as it is right now... and that's a pity as the design of this watch is spectacular. I didn't see it from the pixx but a few weeks ago i had a gen on my wrist and all i can say is that the design suddenly maked sense to me and was just striking... now i want one!
  13. No news ...again. I dunno if Trusty/Andrew/Joshua or any other dealer has read this post...? And since Angus is not responding to enything we won't be hearing anything from him on the MarkXVI either Let's hope one of the dealers finds it rewarding to buy a $4k watch and have that replicated 1:1 .... i can't imagine it won't pay of...
  14. Thanx guys @Capice.... i assume that's a genuine PAM249...? The pictures of the gen clearly show the engraving between the lugs at 6 which i still haven't seen on one of the reps... or am i wrong? Also the word "California" is printed at the dial at 12 on the rep... not on the genuine (only at the prototype)... so if i'm correct there's no correct dial for this model...? Of course the engraving of the word "officine panerai" on one of the bridgeplates of the movement is too big/wide/high/bold...etc. Any of you guys have more info about the known flaws of the PAM249?
  15. Hi guys The last weeks the Cali dial is becoming one of my favorites and i'd love to see more pictures of your cali dial's ... i'd love to do some camparrison with pictures of the real deal, but somehow i hardly see any pixx of the repped 249. Rolli has 3 of them but the pictures don't show unfortunately. Would you please be so kind to share some of you pictures... or maybe link me through to a page i with more info... it looked around in this section but couldn't find that much info. I'd love to see if the dial is corrected with the newest version, if the crown is correct... if it has the engraving between the lugs like the real deal etc... Thanx in advance!!
  16. I agree with you for a full 100%, Mezzazine!
  17. After you sir
  18. ...mmmm for me this is getting stranger every day. Usually a dealler at least pops in to tell he is incredibly busy. Or a member who has been in touch posts this... but since early last week only one person reports to have been in contact with Angus... and he says Angus was working on his website... quite relaxed... If any one has some more info ... please share this with us
  19. I think his "moderate" reserve is around 2k$...
  20. Thank you Lani this is more than generous!!
  21. Congrats man... although MB is not on my wishlist i must admit that this one is replicated incredibly well and it looks very nice actually
  22. Since i joined the first replica forum i thougth i was in a privilidged environment. Being supplied with the best information about the best replicas and the best possible service and feedback possibilities i actually didn't think about the "outisde world" anymore. Replica watches... was within the forums and that's that. This morning i thought i'd google for replica watches... i haven't done this in at least 5 or 6 years (yes it's been that long since i joined RWCC). And after my jaw fell on the keyboard i saw that "out there" nothing had changed... it only has become worse. There are hundreds of replica websites... thousand... and a lot of them still ask insane prices for the lowest grades of replicas, trying to sell them as top-grade or real swiss replicas. Still being advertised with pictures of genuine watches, so not the actual replica that's for sale. The price of a simple Submariner with an ETA movement up to more than $1,000,- and it wasn't even a good one. Although it was shocking what i saw... and fun as well... and makes me worry for all those out there wanting to buy a replica and sending their hard earned money to some scam site... Man am i glad i found forums like RWCC, TRC and RWG... and man, i feel good about a place like this. And man... was i right about these forums right from the start Just wanted to share this on a lazy sunday morning.
  23. Still no word from one of our most popular dealers? I must admit i am kind of worried...
  24. I've seen base titanium Panerai go for around 2200-2300 euro on websites like watchloungeDOTcom (german based website), so you might get something of that price. If possible for you a gen Panerai would be great...
